Charging cable question

I want to get some 24AWG cables from monoprice to charge my Nexus 5 and Nexus 10...If I am going to be using these cables for charging only, do I need the ferrite core? Also...any recommendations for a good 2 amp wall charger?

This one without:

You do not need a ferrite core, the phone did not come with one.... Standard wallcharger and cable is fine.

As for the 2amp charger, the phone will only take in what it needs. I will go out on a limb and say that this is the fastest charging phone I have witnessed when plugged into AC.
