... and as someone who is in Hong Kong for an extended business trip I can say that the Note is to be seen in peoples hands (small and large) as much as the SII, but maybe not the iPhone. The Note is a big deal here, unlike at home in London.
Never seen anyone else carrying a Note here in Edinburgh, but a lot of people have drooled over mine...

I am running out of patience, lol.
But one thing I have promised myself is that I will not complain. Well at least not yet.
From the video running ICS on the i717 it looks like ICS is hardly noticeable. the touchwiz UI is annoying.
Is the touchwiz UI on the SGS3 version 5? because when watching videos of the phone it was somewhat different to the touchwiz i have seen so far.
I really hope ICS will be a lot smoother than GB. I sometimes get slight lag when flipping pages on my Note.

Seems they want to release after s3 market release or they din't build dev team to work on updates, they just selling their hardware with available software, they damn care about software dev part.. thats why iPhone is more successful in spite of small screen compare to others
and is the same reason why the next iphone is gonna have a bigger screen ..... oh wait i just contradicted your statement .......

When the f.ck is ics coming for galaxy note?
I just flashed darkyrom which is gingerbread rom after enjoying criskelo ics rom for few weeks coz of bricking issues from leaked rom.
And I paid so much money for this note and I can't risk to brick it.
Criskelo ver 2 was great icecream sandwich rom with touchwiz and all s apps working flawlessly and possibly developed by him or small team.
Then why the hell can't Samsung give us official ics with its all money,man and resources?what is wrong with them?atleast they should give us a progress report to keep the promise.
Darkyrom rules now.

Hi there.. It's look like Samsung will release the Premium Suite ICS for our Note when the newest Android a.k.a JellyBean becomes popular.. It's mean that the release time will take longer than we can imagine.. Hahaha..

I'm using Criskelo V2 but there's some bugs on my Note (I dont know why). The bugs is the Battery drain faster than my GB before (only about 12 h from 100% to 0%, while GB up to 17 h), on the 'Battery Usage' on my Criskelo V2 Note I see that annoying battery usage, it's called MEDIA (on top (1st) position of battery usage), it was took up to 45% my battery (even the Screen and Idle lower than Media) and I think that's the reason why my Note becomes warmer than usual, temperature up to 45 C.. So then I think the best way I flash my Note back to original firmware (lastest GB for my regional) and waiting like no hope until Samsung release the Official ICS with the fuc*ing awesome Premium Suite..

Just had the ics push update notification for my sim-free note. I'm in the uk, but phone is Polish version from handtech

I would like to take a moment to encourage you two to keep your opinions to yourself. There is a difference between disagreeing with someone and insulting them. Your posts are childish and do not contribute to this thread in any way.
The fact that we can flash custom ICS is NOT a solution in my book, as every kernel so far besides DAFUQ has been based on i9220 leaks, and has the risk of damaging the emmc before and after flashing.
We've gone from first quarter to early second quarter, to mid-to-late second quarter. At least we have official CM9 support now.
The only real thing that I would accept from Samsung is to start releasing source, going down the Sony route. If they released source for their updates, that would provide some really excellent development for our phones, and would extend their lifespan quite a bit.
I really wasn't bothered by all of this until it started to become really clear that they were just wasting as much of the 18-month cycle as possible and/or de- prioritizing N7000 development in favor of their S3 or whatever.
We will vote with our money.6DUE TO THE MULTIPLE POSTINGS FOR ICS RUMORS/INFORMATION.........
