Midnight kernel

I'm seeing great results from people using the Midnight kernel. Is there one for the Captivate? I've looked through the forums, couldn't find it.

I'm using Elite 1.4.1 with devil3 1.0.0 vc rc5.

The only reason I've not updated the kernel to the latest version is my battery life is insanely good with this combination, better than any previous version of the devil kernel by a mile!

I'm talking over 6 hours of screen on time with 2 full days use. I think it's capable of 7 or even 8 hours of screen on time if it was used within half a day.

Does someone know if Devil Kernel supports the tun modul? Semaphore supports it.

Okay now it's time to see what is the best ICS compilation out there.

    mine:
    rom: INFINITUM-blue-v.1.1.0
    kernel: Icy Glitch V14-B6
    modem: JVU

    use: 5/5
    batterylife: 3/5
    stability: 4/5

Seems that slim ics is quite popular now.

It would be fantastic to see fully working SGS2 ICS rom on SGS. There is one, but it has some lags, hopefully it will be updated soon.

For me, on roms important are that they are stable, goodlooking and have great batterylife.

SGS is still very good, I will probably keep it for a long time, so it would be nice to have good roms in the future as well=)

    ROM: CM9 0120402-NIGHTLY
    Kernel: Midnight-ICS 0.9.0-2
    - OC: min 100 - max 1200
    - conservative
    - sio

    Modem:I9000XXJW4

    Usability: 5/5
    Battery: see attachment
    Stability: 5/5
    1
    SlimICS 3.3
    Semaphore 1.0 (OC to 1100mHz)
    JVU

    Speed 5/5
    Battery 3/5
    Stability 5/5

It's more stable and snappier than any combination I've tried yet. I might try Devil again at my next update, although they've both performed well for me and Semaphore has a better tweak UI.

Battery life has been consistently crummy across ROMs for me. It might improve now that I'm aware of the Mediaserver bug.

Darky isn't ics. Or has he started ics development?
