get the font apk u want and copy it to ur phone then navigate to it and install like any apk or app.

After that, go to settings>Display>Font style and u will find the font u installed so just check it and everything will shift to that font (the whole device font).

Thanks!
However, the fonts are in ttf format.
I installed them by double clicking, didn't give me error messages but nothing shows up under fonts!

Hey althebyani, I know you're in the process of building 4.0 which is hotly anticipated :D just wanted to ask is this gonna be 4.0.4 based or are you sticking with 4.0.3?

4.0.4 is for AOSP/AOKP/CM9

We are stock samsung based rom. if samsung release 4.0.4 I will cook the rom based on it

I hope you are doing fine :) I was away from city for quite sometime. It seems there are two more versions already released. Right now I am using v3.7. If you are going to release 4.0 this week, I am gonna update to 4.0 directly :D

Btw can you help me with something? I want to add 'Bengali' (my native language) support to your ROM. What should I learn / what should I check?

You may be able to use another fonts apk to insert your ttf file in .. I checked the structure of the font apk's and they have the font in ttf file format .. if you want to send me a link to your ttf file I can try and add it for you and we'll test it out ;)

Thanks for your reply. But I have already looked at these. All of them are basically virtual keyboards and depends on the device's core Indic font support. They are not translation.

Since ICS, Android has Indic support regardless of hardware. So I was thinking about porting Thebyani's ROM to my native language.

My query was, how to port the menu and other things to Bengali language.

It matters what exactly you want changed but in theory you would have to decompile the framework-res.apk in the system/framework folder and change the strings.xml file to words in Bengali .. in Bengali font on your PC .. then recompile .. a lot of work ;)

Problem is I can't decompile thebs framework file .. I've tried and it won't recompile :(

So u might be out of luck..

The only person who may be able to help is vertumus .. try pming him

Real cooking for V4.0 starts today ;)

I will start cooking it and then I will test it until tomorrow because it has a lot of modification in system files so I have to test it.

So, expect it very soon :)

OK, I have decompiled framework-res.apk file. Inside decompiled framework-res\res folder I have created a folder values-bn and copied arrays.xml, plurals.xml, strings.xml.

I understand I have to translate these files to Bengali. I also understand that for full translation, I have translate all system apps strings.xml files.

After translating, I have to recompile and zipalign and sign.

Now I need to know how to put Bengali (Bangladesh) in the Settings->Languages and input->Language menu.

if it is in ttf format then just use root explorer and navigate to system>fonts and paste it right there

Don't forget to match the permission with the other fonts in that folder

    Instructions for XXLSJ Release:

    - Download the zip file (Thebyani_V2.0_JB_part1.zip and Thebyani_V2.0_JB_part2.zip) and put them in your SDcard.
    - Boot into recovery mod.
    - Wipe cache, Dalvik cache, Battery Stats and data/factory.
    - Install zip from sdcard and choose the file named (Thebyani_V2.0_JB_part1.zip) and flash it.
    - Reboot your phone and when it boots, go to recovery again
    - Install zip from sdcard and choose the file named (Thebyani_V2.0_JB_part2.zip) and flash it.
    - Reboot and Enjoy

    Read FAQ




    1- For people facing Battery Drain:-

    Code: 
    1- Go to the following folders and delete them:

- /sdcard/android/dcim/100andro
- /sdcard/lost.dir
- /sdcard/android/data/com.android.providers.media
- /sdcard/android/data/com.cooliris.media
- /sdcard/android/data/com.google.android.gallery3d
- /sdcard/androidthemes
- /sdcard/android/dcim/.thumbnails


2- After that, reboot into recovery, then go and wipe battery stats. Then, reboot and let the phone syncs then reboot again.

3- If u r using Siyah kernel (BE CAREFUL: this is only for Siyah), then install Extweaks app from market and do the following:

Go to MISC> RESET FUEL-GAUGE CHIP and press on RESET FUEL-GAUGE CHIP

After that give it will show u funny values give it few hours and it will be fine.

    Hi guys

    sorry for not replying for ur queations but I'm so busy

    I know there are some bugs but I need u to understand that

    Beta 1 / Beta 2 / Beta 3 / Beta what ever this means I'm working on it and every time I change some thing and release the rom and see ur feed back and I know what's wrong and go back and try to fix

    I'm not ignoring ur posts at all but I'm just reading without replying to see ur issues and look for them (If they were reasonable)

    Guys Thebyani V2.1 JB is up. See main page of this thread for more information


    If u are on V2.0 then just wipe chache and Dalvik cache then flash V2.1 because it is just an update. Otherwise, see the note in red color on change log section of main page of this thread.



    Hope u like the update and I'm sorry for taking so long but I found that V2.0 was very perfect and I tested it for months and it works like a charm. Hope u find it the same way I did.

    Guys u need to understand that in jelly bean we have a major issue with the memory and it is the reason beyond the slowness of your phones sometimes when the memory gets full.

    I'm trying my best now to give u a better and less buggy rom (Remember it is BETA)


    I hope that I can deliver a better rom in Beta 5 (As soon as I can)
