Do you run ifconfig thru a Terminal Emulator or what?
I'm curious, but not sure if it's done ^that way, or thru a browser, or an apk....
Could you be a little more specific?
Thank you.

Edit: Also, is there like a "high score" table for the number of bricks that are shat? Maybe in the old-school-arcade style where we just enter 3 initials?
Or perhaps even Feint support?

Googling this seems to show that it's pretty normal.

Worrying, but normal. Big Brother is watching you.

yep, run ifconfig in terminal, or download ifconfig from the market

Check out the address on street view. Or just skip a step and search "dscc Columbus OH".
Can't say I didn't see it coming, but they're not even hiding it now. Where oh where will humanity be in 20 years.

I just ran the whole thing, and, (I checked) nary a single brick was shat. I'm a bit disappointed and underwhelmed, honestly.
What gives?

I tried ifconfig and it didn't do anything. Do I have to mount the adb shell when using terminal or is it already?

I tried ifconfig in terminal emulator and computer adb. I tried 'ifconfig' 'adb ifconfig' and 'adb shell' 'adb remount' then 'ifconfig' nothing worked.

Edit: I used the app. Also, I think it gives you your local IP which is why it gave me jumbled info when using geektools. What is it supposed to do?

mazook, ckoadiyn and yousefak,

if you're doing this in terminal did you su first?

Are you running ifconfig or just going to whatismyip.com? Not sure why they give different addresses..

If your ifconfig address starts with 21.* then whois should be showing the owner of that ip as:

OrgName: DoD Network Information Center
OrgId: DNIC
Address: 3990 E. Broad Street
City: Columbus
StateProv: OH
PostalCode: 43218
Country: US
RegDate:
Updated: 2011-08-17
Ref: http://whois.arin.net/rest/org/DNIC

If you found the same information and are still not ****ting bricks then I.. umm.. admire your patriotism, lol

And I bet they have 10 million employees sitting there reading all the information. It's fed through a keyword server. Just occasionally search for "how to make a bomb" and "death to america" (but make sure to follow it up with visiting artoftrolling.com).

Who WOULDN'T expect that an IP provided by a major US carrier isn't connected "If need arise" to the DoD. All this **** started a long while ago. It doesn't mean ****, IMHO, unless you are constantly throwing out booleans that trigger flags through their anti-terrorism algorithms, all which came about after (or perhaps even before) 9/11.
I'm not worried a bit.. I don't think for one moment that the freaking DoD is coming after me for consistently throwing flags like "free, download, leak, apk, version, zip, Android, ROM, ruu, firmware, hack, porn, cracked, warez, modem tweak, free cable, remove throttle, unlimited data, pre-release, streaming movies", yadayada.... The same things (if not more innocent) that the entire population of the U.S. is guilty of.
Honestly, does anyone?

Maybe these IPs were owned by the DoD first? Then given out to companies for hops?

Eitherway is there anyway we can block traffic to those IPs?

Dudes, chill. If anything, be pissed @the United States Government for passing the Homeland Securities Act. This has gone on, will go on, has actually stopped/detected terrorist
cells inside the U.S. But seriously, there's no possible way to monitor 800 jillion keystrokes, conversations, downloads, whatever, except thru software. If you're not a freaking bomb-maker or weapons dealer, or organizing Anti-American-Government rallies from your basement, then who cares? That's just a very, very small price we have to pay to live in the U.S. these days. I PROMISE you, it's gotta be MUCH worse in other countries (and not the obvious ones like China or South Korea... I'm talking about countries like Ireland, England, all the Middle-Eastern countries, Eastern Block, Russian States, etc..
Think about it: we probably have it better than anyone on the planet. So, go yell at Sprint, or the newspapers, or your Senator... But it's NOT going to change a single thing, so why even waste your breath?

*** If the Stormtroopers haven't come and knocked down your door yet, they're not going to.

EDIT : North Korea, of course, wtf was I even thinking?

Have u been spying on jayhaper again. He's a cataholic

    free the dirk
You know, I have always had that suspicion about Jay.
I followed him into his church one day to confirm it:

And sure enough, there he was, running the whole show.
(First 'confirmed' (pun intended) picture of Jayharper08 "in the wild".)
    :)
Edit: I thought you called him a "Catholic", not a "Cataholic", which he's not: He's actually in charge of a large ring of "Cat Jugglers", which is a "very bad problem in my country, Señor.. "
(See how I tried to save it right there?.)
    Lol. I'm still an idiot.

Wow, some people are too easily persuaded by the 'too protect against terrorism' propaganda. It's sad really.

I am just going to leave this here for you guys to think about...
