How smooth your video game runs has nothing to do with this modem.

Thank You.

Results after flash (all 6 trials done with SpeedTest.net app sitting in my room at my desk, where I have never gotten exceptional service/speeds)

Default GOv2 modem:
529 ms ping - 2024 kbps down - 1512 kbps up
537 ms ping - 1879 kbps down - 1019 kbps up
624 ms ping - 1760 kbps down - 1046 kbps up

Blaze 4G modem flashed:
108 ms ping - 2153 kbps down - 948 kbps up
583 ms ping - 2924 kbps down - 608 kbps up
522 ms ping - 2414 kbps down - 1302 kbps up

If these results are right then the modem seems to have slightly lower up speeds, but better download which is fine with me :)

Thanks for the new radio sir, a definite upgrade and hopefully will be used in new roms in the future. The real test will be how winamp shoutcast runs when driving.

Update: just drove 15 miles from work to home... normally when streaming I get long pauses (buffering) for a block or two. Now the pauses in music are far less in frequency and distance.

How are you people getting such good uploads? On my stock radio I get 45KB/sec up (360Kb) with 4 bars. I could almost send data via text message faster! Download can exceed 3 megabit though.

Here is a link to get the KD1 and KJ2 modems. This is handy for people that want to revert back to what they had before.

xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1572722

On my device, the KD1 modem has delivered around 10 megabits down and 1.5 megabit up... KJ2 averages around 7 megs down and 1.5 meg up... This Blaze modem delivered about 3.5 megs down and 1 meg up.

I tested over a three day period with each modem. I have posted the best speeds that I see and they all come from the local test servers in Dallas. Speeds from New York and California have too many variables between me and the server to be reliable.

As always, use what works best for you.

I took the chance and flashed this onto my Sidekick. So far, so good. The latency is better and the download speeds are fast with a slight falloff on the uplink, but still not bad. My best d/l speed so far is 12.4Mbps!

Modem pulled from the Samsung Blaze4G.
Not hard to install at all, just put it on your sdcard and flash in Recovery.
Yes. This was not originally for Froyo I have to remove some /libs.
I made it work for the Sidekick 4G.
Credits to Master&Slave for pulling the Modem from the device.
