I know this doesn't have anything to do with development !
But since we have only one forum ,i posted it here !!:p

Now these are tips for improving the battery life of your GT-I9100G :

1.Set the wallpaper , with dark or black images
or set the brightness to 10%

2.When you are not using data , please turn it off . Using 3G data will suck lots of juice !!
On the other hand Wifi doesn't suck so much juice

Now the next steps are the most important

3.Please do keep charging between very short intervals ,
Let the battery charge drop to 5-10% then charge till it reaches 100% , this will considerably , increase your battery life .

4.Do not let your phone keep charging for a long time ,even after it reaches 100%.
This will damage the battery .

Actually when your phone shows that it has been fully charged (100%),it has only been charged for 95% , so plug in for a few more minutes ,for some extra juice .:p

5.Do not install lots and lots of unused and useless apps ,as they will not only occupy memory , but will also suck the juice out of your phone !!

6.Delete unused widgets from home screen

7.Close unwanted apps running in the background.
Go to task manager and press the ,'clear memory' button frequently .

8.Do not use the charger of other mobile phones , even if they have the same pin ,as this will slowly damage the battery ;)

9.Use only original Samsung battery made for your GT-I9100G , duplicate or other battery will not only be waste of money , but will also damage your phone !!

10.Go to Settings-->Accounts and sync-->Untick Background data .

11.I won't recommend this , but if you know to and want to , you can under clock your device to a lower speed by using apps like SetCPU or ROMtoolbox to save some juice .
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for any damage caused to your phone due to under clocking . :p

12.Please press the thanks button , if you like this post and if i helped increase the battery life of your GT-I9100G :D

13.If you know a few extra tips , please post it or PM me :)

14.If you like this tread please rate it !! :)

15.Sugesstion are welcome , you can posted it , so that i can add it !!

These things helped me improve the battery life of my GT-I9100G ,I hope it also help you considerably increase the battery life of your GT-I9100G too :)

Cheers ,

Actually It's ok to keep the charger connected even after the battery chargers to 100%, it simply stops charging and resumes after charge level drops a bit.

I'm sorry, but i think its not good for Lithium Ion battery. For Nickel Cadmium , yes. Use till it flat is not good since Li-Ion doesnt have memory effect like Ni-Cad

But once in a while, do full discharge and full charge to calibrate the battery gauge.

As for me, once in a month, i do take full discharge and full charge.

Fully discharge for Li-Ion give much stress to the battery, and can make your battery hot.

high temperature effect the perfomance of the battery also.

conclusion, do partial charge. dont leave the battery in hot or high temperature place . as example in the car under a sunny day.
