That would be a nice option too

I don't think it's causing a memory leak.

What device? I have this launcher on my Nexus S (AOKP build 28) and my Acer A500 (FLEXREAPER ICS), and another A500 (same ROM), and it's smooth as butter. But on my bro-in-law's XOOM on AOKP build 28, or M4, it was laggy as sh!t. It's a bug with AOKP on Xoom I guess.
Apex Launcher is one of my favorites. I'd love to see some new tabs in it:
1) Recent apps
2) Currently working apps (with the ability to kill those)
Just a short wish list
I dont know if it has been asked already and I didn't feel like going thru all the pages in the thread.
So I got apex from the market on both my phone and my tab and i am loving it, it's just on my tab I really would like to have a dock like on the phone version,
Thos is not a bug. By default dock bar does not show up on tablets. That comes from the stock ICS launcher, and all ICS launchers so far behave the same way. If you want dock bar in tablet mode, go back to a Gingerbread launcher and/or vote for that feature in the link in the OP.
True, but Apex has this option only on Homescreen and not inside in the Drawer menu. I am intersted to have folders even on Drawer menu. That is why I am asking...
i try all launcher and apex is best, fast, smooth, touch and slide very good. But when use backup/restore desktop data it's seem didn't work
Due to Android limitations, backup/restore desktop items only backs up and restores app icons and folders, not widgets.

Nova has a restore widgets functionality. You reload things yourself (settings/etc) but it keeps the placeholders for you and knows what widget used to be there. Its a little buggy though. This may be entirely different than what you are referring to.
if i copy beta to system will it overwrite the old versions installed via market? or will i have 2 seperately installed apex launchers?
adb install ApexLauncher.apk
adb remount
adb push ApexLauncher.apk /system/app
