Working on AOKP Reloaded right now... it's probably going to come out before official v1.3 of CM9 Reloaded. Both should be out with in 4 days though.

I'll try and sync the AOKP dev tree w/ all of the recent changes to the CM devtree so that your ROM will be up-to-date.

But if you hit a point where you're compiling it up and something doesn't seem right, just let me know.

WARNING: The 3.0 kernel is still not really a daily driver. Users need to be aware of the battery drain and screen striping issues that some are experiencing. Both are currently high priority but still present. Keeping the Kindle plugged into USB as often as possible and powering it fully off (long press for 20 seconds after using "power off" in android) will help.

I'm speechless. Utterly speechless - except to say I'll be donating to BiteBlaze AND Hashcode this weekend. Guys - time to step up and support our awesome developers. They more than deserve it.

IMO work is far from finished. Look how CM9 is just running flawlessly on GS2.
Experience is just way better than stock, although CM9 is not even beta.
CM9 on KF still has several major issues : video decoding, random freezes, lags, wifi problems, power button, no USB host ...
IMO these things prevent oneself to run it as a true daily driver.
I'll donate as soon as a pretty "stable" version comes out.
It's also a way to prevent CM9 reloaded development from stopping or slowing, as AOKP is now a priority.

Basically all of the "bugs" you just listed are kernel issues. V1.2H has none of those yet and I've been
on it for 3 days. And AOKP is not my main priority. All of my roms are my priority and I want them running great for everyone so v1.2H is my MAIN priority.

:confused::confused:Just a quick question... Do I have to unzip the ReloadedRom file prior to flash it?

Thanks in advance:D:D:D
No, flash the .zip file in TWRP

Not of what you are saying is simply not Tue. Hwa, USB otg, are both present now with has codes from, and I have had no wifi issues at all. Power button works fine. This is most certainly a daub for most as long as they understand battery life is not optimized. It is as stable as almost all kernels I have run from other devs...try it and you'll be surprised how good it is now.

:D:D:D Was a wrong question. I asked that because when I tried to flash the zip, it said this "unable to unzip file":eek::eek:, but then I realized that I was trying to flash an empty file, because I didn't wait until the download ends:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: But now everything is ok. Thanks!!!!:D:D:D

I think you're being pretty harsh.
1. This is offered for free donating is up to you
2. This ROM makes my kindle go from Useless (I can't use any amazon service from my country) to almost perfect and I'm sure I'm not the only one in this situation

This is not a perfect ROM but people need to appreciate the work/hours put in it. As far as I'm concerned this is my daily driver atm. I only need my phone to be as close as perfectly stable as possible. The kindle can crash at this rate I don't care. This rate being 2-3 times a week.

So again Thanks for the ROM

As others have said, the day that these problems are solved has arrived. It's more of a matter now for ROM developers to integrate the new kernel into their ROMs solely at their discretion. Not to say there won't be some other bugs, such as ghosting or banding, but these issues are being worked on fervently, which is why our developers should be supported generously. Without their valiant efforts, we'd be stuck on stock and we all know how that would suck. They have worked hours upon hours on these ROMs/kernels and have been gracious enough to allow us to benefit from their labor. Let's all return the favor and donate.

I have been running this ROM for a couple days and is by far my favorite ROM out there. I was running CM7 but decided that I wanted to try CM9 and I will never go back to CM7. I have had no issues other than the normal issues with CM9 right now but that sounds like it will be changing. I cant wait for the update to come out with the 3.0 kernel. This will be my daily ROM from now on.

Great job BiteBlaze!!

Glad to here it! And, v1.2H will be released later today so... keep an eye out for that! AOKP Reloaded is still a WIP but is coming along.

    CPU GOVERNOR OVERVIEW:
    Performance Governor:
This locks the phone's CPU at maximum frequency. While this may sound like an ugly idea, there is growing evidence to suggest that running a phone at its maximum frequency at all times will allow a faster race-to-idle. Race-to-idle is the process by which a phone completes a given task, such as syncing email, and returns the CPU to the extremely efficient low-power state. This still requires extensive testing, and a kernel that properly implements a given CPU's C-states (low power states). For more on this, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus GLaDOS kernel from developer Ezekeel has been a pioneer in this space.

    Conservative Governor:
This biases the phone to prefer the lowest possible clockspeed as often as possible. In other words, a larger and more persistent load must be placed on the CPU before the conservative governor will be prompted to raise the CPU clockspeed. Depending on how the developer has implemented this governor, and the minimum clockspeed chosen by the user, the conservative governor can introduce choppy performance. On the other hand, it can be good for battery life.

The Conservative Governor is also frequently described as a "slow OnDemand," if that helps to give you a more complete picture of its functionality.

    OnDemand Governor:
This governor has a hair trigger for boosting clockspeed to the maximum speed set by the user. If the CPU load placed by the user abates, the OnDemand governor will slowly step back down through the kernel's frequency steppings until it settles at the lowest possible frequency, or the user executes another task to demand a ramp.

OnDemand has excellent interface fluidity because of its high-frequency bias, but it can also have a relatively negative effect on battery life versus other governors. OnDemand is commonly chosen by smartphone manufacturers because it is well-tested, reliable, and virtually guarantees the smoothest possible performance for the phone. This is so because users are vastly more likely to ***** about performance than they are the few hours of extra battery life another governor could have granted them.

This final fact is important to know before you read about the Interactive governor: OnDemand scales its clockspeed in a work queue context. In other words, once the task that triggered the clockspeed ramp is finished, OnDemand will attempt to move the clockspeed back to minimum. If the user executes another task that triggers OnDemand's ramp, the clockspeed will bounce from minimum to maximum. This can happen especially frequently if the user is multi-tasking. This, too, has negative implications for battery life.

    Userspace Governor:
This governor, exceptionally rare for the world of mobile devices, allows any program executed by the user to set the CPU's operating frequency. This governor is more common amongst servers or desktop PCs where an application (like a power profile app) needs privileges to set the CPU clockspeed.

    Powersave Governor:
The opposite of the Performance governor, the Powersave governor locks the CPU frequency at the lowest frequency set by the user.

    Interactive Governor:
Much like the OnDemand governor, the Interactive governor dynamically scales CPU clockspeed in response to the workload placed on the CPU by the user. This is where the similarities end. Interactive is significantly more responsive than OnDemand, because it's faster at scaling to maximum frequency.

Unlike OnDemand, which you'll recall scales clockspeed in the context of a work queue, Interactive scales the clockspeed over the course of a timer set arbitrarily by the kernel developer. In other words, if an application demands a ramp to maximum clockspeed (by placing 100% load on the CPU), a user can execute another task before the governor starts reducing CPU frequency. This can eliminate the frequency bouncing discussed in the OnDemand section. Because of this timer, Interactive is also better prepared to utilize intermediate clockspeeds that fall between the minimum and maximum CPU frequencies. This is another pro-battery life benefit of Interactive.

However, because Interactive is permitted to spend more time at maximum frequency than OnDemand (for device performance reasons), the battery-saving benefits discussed above are effectively negated. Long story short, Interactive offers better performance than OnDemand (some say the best performance of any governor) and negligibly different battery life.

Interactive also makes the assumption that a user turning the screen on will shortly be followed by the user interacting with some application on their device. Because of this, screen on triggers a ramp to maximum clockspeed, followed by the timer behavior described above.

By far, Interactive is the default governor of choice for today's smartphone and tablet manufacturers.

    InteractiveX Governor:
Created by kernel developer "Imoseyon," the InteractiveX governor is based heavily on the Interactive governor, enhanced with tuned timer parameters to better balance battery vs. performance. The InteractiveX governor's defining feature, however, is that it locks the CPU frequency to the user's lowest defined speed when the screen is off.

    Hotplug Governor:
The Hotplug governor performs very similarly to the OnDemand governor, with the added benefit of being more precise about how it steps down through the kernel's frequency table as the governor measures the user's CPU load. However, the Hotplug governor's defining feature is its ability to turn unused CPU cores off during periods of low CPU utilization. This is known as "hotplugging."

Obviously, this governor is only available on multi-core devices.

    Bugs Explained and Coming Soon

    Bugs explained:

    Code:
    [SIZE="3"]Kernel 3.0 (v1.2H) - Bugs:

    - Only flash in TWRP
    - Black screen for awhile on boot, wait it out
    - Notification graphic glitch (my error, being fixed in v1.3 and v1.3H)
    - Wifi - Works once; when you disconnect, you have to reboot to reconnect
    - Sometimes weird bars appear on the screen (not too noticeable)
    - Can't mount storage when not in TWRP

    Kernel 2.6 (v1.2) - Bugs:

    - Hardware Acceleration doesn't work (HD video, netflix, some games, quadrant standerd 3d benchmark, etc.) THIS IS A BIGGER DEAL THAN YOU WOULD THINK!! MANY FREEZES, SOD, AND NON-FUNCTIONALITY!![/SIZE]

    Coming Soon:

    Code:
v1.3 - Graphical fixes, bug fixes, and most likely an updated kernel. Since I no longer have the device, future builds may take 1 or 2 days longer to release as I have nothing to test the build on. Check the beta testing section on my website for beta builds/

What happened to these flashable soft key mods? I was really looking forward to these. Also, not a big fan of the blue reflective. Anyway you could post a build with the stock white home, back, and recent soft keys? Everything else is great on 1.2
I am working on them, once they are done I will put them in the THEMES/APPS Section as well as the mods post in this thread. And, I have integrated kernel 3.0 in this rom and it works! I will soon distribute.
