  • MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP
  • Full wipes are highly recommended but YMMV. Don't report any new bugs if you didn't wipe, and don't judge it either since you might come across more problems than actually present in the ROM.
  • Flash ROM
  • Flash Gapps
  • Reboot
  • Change APN to the one below

AT&T:
Go to Settings > More > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > click menu, New APN

Name: ATT PTA
APN: pta
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Auth: none
APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri

Those of you running a carrier other than AT&T will have a different APN. Please search around the forums to find the correct settings. Thank you.

If you are getting weird data issues, flash the 2.09 leaked AT&T radio, it seems the best for this ROM.

======================================================

What works:
Touchscreen
Calling
Mobile Data
SMS + MMS
Sound
Camera
WiFi
App switch button remapped as menu ("old" configuration)
Rotation
Proximity sensor
init.d
Video camera
LED Light Notification
Autobrightness
Battery stats under settings
Geolocation
NFC

What doesn't work:
Face Unlock (shouldn't be using it anyway... its not secure at all... :p)
Panorama mode in Camera app, same as CM (use 3rd party app)

AOKP's Source can be found here: Github

If you want to build/contribute, go here:
http://github.com/rohanmathur/aokp_evita/
Look through the repos referenced in the default.xml and add them manually to a normal ICS AOKP sync by using the repo's name as the folder path. If you are confused of what I mean, contact me on twitter @rohanXm.

Follow the directions in the README.
If you want to contribute please message me on twitter (@rohanXm) I'd love to help you out to get started! Or if you are just curious and want to download the source for the curiosity! :)

I am the new device maintainer for the HTC One XL AOKP port. I had to redo the entire port since I did not have DesignGears' device tree. Please bear with me on bugs and stuff, I am only in high school so I'm still learning a lot. If you like my work and have a few extra bucks, please consider donating. The One XL is my first Android device and currently I need to use my actual phone for development as well. It would be awesome if I could purchase another One XL to test on.

I will be supporting this build for the next 2 years/the life of the AOKP project as it is my daily driver.

Thanks to:
AOKP Team
vinvinvinster for the initial CM9 port
h8rift for his fixes and for being a bro
xkonni for helping me when I derp and his One S work
intervirgil for his One S work

Please do not copy and paste this post anywhere else. Always point the post to this thread since it will always have the most recently updated version. Thank you and enjoy the Unicorns!

Rogers users have a known issue with lte and AOKP/CM9/AOSP roms. Go here http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1732633 as a reference or for more information.

Download link posted in OP!

x2

Does this still have the issues with data going out occasionally, especially after GPS is enabled?

I haven't been able to test it out too much as I just installed it at 8AM EST so I've only had it for like 2 hours haha. In my testing it seems to be pretty stable.

And it has the same issues as CM, so I'm guessing that the dual core mod is needed for both cores.

Whenever you guys finish flashing, if someone who has texting/mms could test it out it would be greatly appreciated! I don't have a texting plan so I couldn't really test. Thanks!

I don't think we can set lock screen targets? Unless I am missing something...this is my first time running aokp...and what do you mean dual core works...you mean without flashing dualcore mod?

EDIT: I found out how to do the targets

Texting works BTW

EDIT 2: custom app 1 doesn't work

    Features:

    -Tethering fixed
    -AOKP's optimization merged
-Fixed all the stuff AOKP broke because of their repo fiasco (this is why this update took so long)
-Removed and cleaned up the entire device tree, not sure about the user-level effect but it makes me feel like I am putting out a final product
