Good news are coming!
I have made a first port of Check Fus Downloader to Java. By now only console based and no support for Bada. I wil release is as soon as I have tested it enough :)

As many of you probably have noticed, SamKiesUpdates have begun tweeting firmwares found using TestMode in Kies. I will add ability to download TestMode, enable TestMode in Kies and the next version will also have a sorted list :)

Here's a preview.

edit: I forgot to let you know that I will add support for "old way" to make it work with I997 and T959, both download and hopefully decryption aswell.

Thanks very much for this new version.
Observations:
1. When you check the checkbox "Test Mode", no changes are effected.
2. When you click on "Enable/Disable Kies Test Mode", yes the registry is modified to enter test mode ("Setting_1"=dword:057abb32); clicking on it again disables test mode by reverting registry to normal mode ("Setting_1"=dword:0).
3. We don't really know if Samsung has any firmwares on its servers for testing mode, so no way to confirm yet if it works or not. But hopefully it should work. For now, only current firmwares are shown (example with bada 1.2, S8500XXKF3).

Test Mode is working in CheckFusDownloader_v2.1.exe :cool: :cool:

Now only correct input... for bada...

No idea if also prototypes are accessable in this kind... example S7250...

TestMode is a mode in Kies which enables you to install a not yet publicly released, but soon to be, firmware. It's not betas or something. It's probably just a phase before relasing the firmware officially, i.e. in normal mode. Some people will install it and if major problems are found, it will probably not go to normal mode to prevent major panic among the regular users.

That's my guess :)

Hey guys I'm trying to get this to decrypt the I9100 ROM for O2 UK but struggling. Managed to download but is in ENC2 file format. What should I do? Thanks!

EDIT downloaded another firmware and came in zip file. thanks

How do i download firmware for GT-I5503YKAINU

I have Got my Galaxy 5 (GT-I5503) for India release which came with eclair 2.1 android.

GT-I5503YKAINU


But i dont see the option available in fus downloader. also i don't know the original PDA, CSC and Phone code as i have flashed my phone with a custom firmware and now i wanted to go back to Official Samsung release of 2.2 froyo for my phone but kies doesn't allow me to update and i am getting the message This device can't be updated"


can some one help me to get the official firmware for my phone: GT-I5503YKAINU

Could you please add the ability of check/download TestMode firmware to the non-GUI version? Non-GUI version is good for batch check multiple firmware updates in a batch file.

    Unfortunately Samsung have made changes to the servers that the Downloader cannot handle.
    At the moment I have no working practical solution for the Downloader.

    It was fun while it lasted :)
