I'm trying to flash Nexus 5 port 4.4.2_KOT49H.zip but receive the following:

Deleting Temp Data

Formatting System
format() expects 5 args, got 3
E:Error in /data/media/4.4.2_KOT49H.zip
(status 7)
Installation aborted.

I read the guide of the following link:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2075449

The line of code is found nowhere in the updater-script file.

I downloaded mako_signed_kot49h_121213_odex.zip and pushed to sd card.
I attempted to flash but receive similar error with file name being different.

I'm running CWM Touch v 6.0.4.7
Android version 4.3
Baseband version M9615A-CEFWMAZM-2.0.1700.84
Build number JWR66V

Is it safe to assume that you did a factory reset before you tried to flash? Might be a bad download as well. I would not change the name. Also you might try flashing twrp also.

Yes I definitely did a factory reset and cleared cache and dalvik-cache but I haven't tried TWRP because of recovery software preference.

Nothing wrong with that. I had to switch to TWRP when I was doing a nandroid backup and with cwm, it doesn't check to see if you have enough space, it just goes on and then I had a problem on my hands.

Also you will, or might come across a rom that doesn't get along with cwm. Anyway, that's another topic. :)

Try a full wipe, including the system partition along with the others.

I had gotten the same problem with you! Try flash back to cwm 6.0.4.6 via zip file and flash KOT49H again, you will be successful^^

I have used the latest TWRP to flash many custom ROMs and it has always worked for me.

I've flashed TWRP and had no trouble flashing the ROM. Thanks for the help and I may just try CWM 6.0.4.6 to discover if it's functional and probably switch back to CWM.
