[Q]Asus unlock invalid password? updated rooting info?

I tried the asus unlock but it kept saying password invalid?
I dont know if this was cause I was on factory firmware? I havent tried again yet.
Is there updated/proper rooting information/instructions for the latest firmware update 4.3 or is it only possible to root from 4.2.x? Thanks

Update to the latest (4.3) then unlock and then root.
The rooting, recovery and rom's are all designed to work with the the most up to date bootloader which can only be updated through the official update.
So update to 4.3 then go from there, safest and easiest way.

still says password not valid? Is this because I use 2 step verification?
I guess the fastboot method makes more sense anyhow.

You have to either temporarily turn off 2 step verification or create a password for the unlock app.
