I used note and note 2 past 2 yrs until this N5. I did play with custom kernel/ROM in both phone, either customed TW, MIUI,AOSP,CM.
From there I learned about kernel for TW are different from AOSP/CM. How about in N5?
From the post of kernel, developer will indicated their work for TW or AOSP/CM. How am I to read as what type of ROM/kernel in N5 threads?

We don't have Touchwiz shenanigans here.

However, there is a clear difference between stock and aosp.

Some stock kernels work on some aosp roms (faux for example works on non-cm based roms like slimkat) but its not always clear in the kernel threads what its compatible with
