Any plans for including Beats audio with 2.5?

No.. its all a gimmick to me. I have a pair of beats studio headphones and playerpro with dsp does a way better job than anything available imho. Xloud and beats will never find a way into my rom or onto my device. I have beats on my HTC device from when it first surfaced. On HTC you can actually tell difference, only issue is beats is exclusive to the HTC music app and player pro still sounds way better ..

Ok, just read through the last 5 pages ad I have to say.... Derek ( TDJ ) I feel for ya bro. So many people whining about this and that! Most issues are bad downloads. I do EVERYTHING right from the phone using Dolphin browser. Its simple really. Download, move to root of your EXTERNAL storage, check MD5 ( there's a free market app ). From there, rename the file using any file explorer to have the flags you want.... boot cwm amd flash. I've flashed so many times ( literally in hundreds by now beta testing this and other roms ) and have never had an issue like weird battery drains, sms not working, stuck on edge ect. Try mu suggestion .... I bet it works and your problems disappear ..... ( I always full wipe using tdj's tool too ).

One more thing.... quit whining about the full battery notification. Ray already told you how to stop the notification sound so you can leave your phone in normal audio mode ( not silent mode ). It takes you a whole 10 seconds using a root explorer to wipe the media file for the battery full notification.

People forget that ROMS are made by the DEV for their personal devices generally. They are making it for themselves....not for you. Microands...... if you want something changed....build your own or modify the devs to your taste....

Sorry for the rant.... sick of people not reading.

People actually complain about that? Seriously, I haven't read all the posts but really??? COME ON. So your phone tells you "Sir, pardon me, but your battery is now full."

"Thank you, phone. You may now continue being awesome thanks to TDJ."

** EDIT ** After reading that, the only reason I can see that being an absolute nuisance is in the middle of the night while I'm trying to sleep. But I use an alarm clock app so that the only things that sound off are the phone ringing or the alarm.

2 things:

just wanted to re ask if it's possible to make it so notifications like texts don't turn on the phone briefly? i find this pretty annoying.

also, i know this isn't the best place to ask, but does wifi calling include you recieving texts in places with little to no reception as well? i know this may sound dumb but i read something along those lines somewhere else last night and it's confusing me.

i don't have a wifi calling sim card anyway, but this might make me wanna go get that new sim card sooner heh.

setting, wireless, uncheck wifi calling....Texts will still work with wifi. Is that what you wanted to know? I have deaf data plan...maybe its different between yours and mine, but it works for me.
also I haven't upgraded simcard

I am loven this thank you very much couldnt post for a while to say that but ether way. only question I have is the other roms say to wait 10 mins and reboot again and use... should I have done that with yours? I don't understand the point behide that. It seems to be running just fine I get what I could ask for a battery life plus I am only 2 days into breaking it in. I like your rom better then the others so thank you looking forward to an and all updates.

Well it's good practice to let the phone sit 5-10 min after flashing and then do another reboot just to make sure everything settles in fine. The startup processes are going to take longer to run since the ROM was just flashed. The device will also be rebuilding its dalvik cache again among other things. Some problems people experience is simply because the begin using their phone right after a fresh flash.

So it's back to EDGE. I think the rom hates my job. I guess we have that common. ^_^

Still need that newer sim card. TMO giving me the run around today. But everything else is working swimmingly.

Thanks

If everything is working then you should be fine. Anyways an update is coming anytime now so save that wipe for the update, OP mentioned an update no later than Friday. Cross your fingers....

    :: DIGITAL.WARFARE ::

    ..A DARKSIDE DEVELOPMENT..

** PLEASE READ ENTIRE OP THOROUGHLY BEFORE ASKING ANY QUESTIONS OR REPORTING ANY BUGS **

    ** HIGHLY RECOMMENDED **

    ClockworkMod Recovery 5.0.2.7

Based off STOCK KL1 System dump straight from my very own untouched(at the time) device

    Included:

CLEAN, FAST, SMOOTH, & FULLY FUNCTIONAL !!!
    • Enhanced/Optimized Stock ROM - *VERY MINOR* visual changes
    • KL1 Android 2.3.6
    • Deodexed (Thanks @raycaster3)
    • CIQ Free
    • Touch or Touchless - included in one ROM - available with flag
    • DARKSIDE.SUPER.WIPE - available with flag
    • Blurry MMS fixed (@TDJ)
    • MMS over WIFI/WIFI CALLING
    • 14 toggle quickpanel w/ quickpanel settings app (@lidroid)
    • Extended Power Menu
    • Zip align on boot
    • Optimized/Refined
    • Roboto Font default
    • CRT Off animation
    • Volume Wake
    • Fixed Kernel info in 'About' settings
    • Removed uneeded apps aka "BLOAT"
    • BLN support for STOCK messaging app
    • BLN support for "most" other apps
    • SIP over 3g/4g
    • Modified Stock Browser
    • Modified TW Launcher

    Working:
    • DATA
    • MMS
    • WIFI
    • WIFI CALLING
    • MMS OVER WIFI/WIFI CALLING
    • GPS
    • BLUETOOTH
    • WIRELESS TETHER
    • USB TETHER

    Known Issues:
    • You tell me...

    TOUCH Includes:
    -Default install with no flags
    • TouchWiz UI
    • All stock Samsung apps

    TOUCHLESS Includes:
-Installed using '-notw' flag at end of file name
    • Removes TouchWiz UI
    • Zeam Launcher
    • Removes most Samsung apps

    Add flags to filename:

An adaptation of @waydownsouth's script, I have modified and created a script that allows for flexibility with how I can create and user can install a ROM. *PLEASE READ* this next section carefully and only proceed with a full understanding of what you are about to do. Ask any questions within the thread before doing so...

    Available flags:
    • -wipe
    • -notw
    • -twmod
    • -nobatt
    • -volwake
What SUPER DARKSIDE WIPE flag does:
    • -wipe = A full wipe that is much more through and is HIGHLY suggested over any wipe options in recovery menu. It will also format partitions to EXT4 (NOTE: THIS WILL DELETE ALL USER DATA! DOESN'T TOUCH SD CARD/EMMC!)
    • -notw = (No TouchWiz - TOUCHLESS) This will remove the TouchWiz UI and mostly all Samsung apps and Widgets. I left some of the more requested apps in. By not adding this flag you will get a STOCK KL1 Build.
    • -twmod = Installs a 5x4x5 modified TW Launcher. (See screen shot below)
    • -nobatt = Completely disables the 100% battery pop-up and notification.
    • -volwake = Enables volume buttons to wake the device (Just as power button)
If no -wipe flag is added to the end of file name it will not wipe...

Adding flags to the file name:

    If default file name is:
    Code:
    [B]DARKSIDE.DIGITAL.WARFARE_v2_TDJ.zip[/B]

To perform a SUPER.DARKSIDE.WIPE by adding -wipe flag to end of file name:
    Code:
    [B]DARKSIDE.DIGITAL.WARFARE_v2_TDJ[B][COLOR="red"]-wipe[/COLOR][/B].zip[/B]

To flash a TOUCHLESS ROM and perform a SUPER.DARKSIDE.WIPE by adding -notw and -wipe flag to end of file name:
    Code:
    [B]DARKSIDE.DIGITAL.WARFARE_v2_TDJ[B][COLOR="red"]-wipe-notw[/COLOR][/B].zip[/B]

Get IT??? Its as simple as adding available flag to the end of the file name.

*PLEASE NOTE* The file name must also contain no spaces or else it will not work!!

    Kernel Info:
    • Kernel base: 2.6.35.14
    • Included Version: DARKSIDE X v2 RC2 *UNRELEASED* - lets keep it that way for now...
More info found in my other thread [HERE]

What i am am about to say is real talk. v2.6 is going to update to my new v3 kernel. I rebased off the latest skyrocket source that was released in the end of February. If you don't things could get and more smooth, snappy, and more battery efficient.. you're in for a treat! I also will be including a script that can set a predefined profile, you may have seen screen shots I have posted. No eta on release so don't ask.. not sure what other changes, if any, will be included.

I also have to say that this board is in rough shape. A lot people think I like to "troll" these boards and cause drama. I just want to clear this up and let people know that I am only looking out for the better of the community. A lot of people here don't really know a lot of the technical sides of android and our device. I really hate to see people get screwed over by someone that really doesn't have a clue but needs to try and feel important on xda. I am honestly looking out for our community and try to weed out the garbage as best I can. I don't care what people think of me and I don't care what people say. I do what I say and say what I do. I have contributed plenty to this board and never leave you guys hanging. Honestly outside team kang there hasn't been much actual development since I migrated over here. I appricate that people are eager to learn, but its a damn shame the ego that comes along with having your own thread...

With v2.6 I think its going to be time to take a break because honestly, **** is ridiculous over here. OK vent over... carry on my dudes
