I have a Galaxy S Relay 4G that is running Hypnotoad (a CM11 derivative). Prior to this ROM, I was running the stock 4.1.2 OTA.

In both cases, if I type a URL into the Google Search bar widget (e.g., I type www.xda-developers.com), it does a search for the URL instead of actually going to the URL. So what I end up seeing is a bunch of search results for the URL, which is silly, and really frustrating.

However, prior to the 4.1.2 OTA, I was running stock 4.0.4, and the behavior was that it would go directly to the URL instead of searching.

Summary:
- CM11 and 4.1.2: Google Search bar widget performs search of URL
- 4.0.4: Google Search bar widget goes directly to the URL

My suspicion is that it has something to do with Google Now, since I didn't have Google Now on the stock 4.0.4. On my current ROM, I do have Google Now disabled.

REGARDLESS, what do I have to do in order for the Google Search bar to go to the URL I've typed, instead of doing a search for the URL?
