wondering if anyone can please help me urgently

I have a Sony Xperia Z1 Canadian model C6906, rooted kitkat 4.4.2 (Build 14.3.A.0.757).

I am traveling abroad to South America. I plan to factory sim unlock the phone with Rogers' Carrier so I can use the phone while I am in SA.

Will I lose Root or will this affect my rooted Z1?

thanx.

sim unlock and root are totally separate. they will not effect each other

And don't worry, I have already asked the mods to move this QUESTION that I have ANSWERED to the QUESTION and ANSWER section ;)

thank you for getting back to me so soon.

I just don't want sim unlock to kill my root!!! :cyclops:

so I can just go ahead pay Rogers $50 to get the phone factory unlock while still keep my root........:good:

Hehe, you won't lose root after Sim Unlocking.. I've unlocked my phone today and everything is working fine, no issues with root or whatever.. :) I'm quite happy because I got my unlock code from Three UK for FREE!!!! They have new policy, no more sim-lock's and if have one, they'll unlock it free of charge. Happy days! :)
Good luck with unlocking :)
