[APP][1.6+][PORT] Vice VIC-20 emulator for Android

Hello!

I managed to compile the Vice vic-20 emulator for android. It's based on the work by android sdl team and Sergii Pylypenko who made the android port for the c64 version, so credit goes to them, not to me

It's an alpha build and may have problems.
Have a look, play with it and let me know.

You can load .prg and .d64 + variations.
You can also use cart roms with some hacks.
Vice is a very versatile emulator

EDIT: of course for the Vic-20 only, any memory expansion configuration.

I've downloaded aLogcat
But the .text is blank (no information)

You should at least see some activity from various apps and the system. Try changing filters and options in the settings page. Maybe you are filtering out most log lines. I don't remember the default configuration of alogcat...

Someone with Android 2 (froyo or gingerbread) can please test this new build:

It was crashing because of a call which was supported only by android >= 3.

Can someone please try alpha4 (link in the OP, market still has alpha3).
I need some testing on old phones/tablets because I got report from people having crashes.
After that I can publish the new version to the market.

i did test on huawei u8230 with gb -cm7.2 and kernel 2.6.32.9...
app tell me not enough ram...this app need 256Mb RAM, your device has 104 Mb.
if i say ok the app stop unexpectedly, please try again.. force close
if i ignore the app ask me to download.
will edit.

I've seen reports of people using the joystick/gamepad via usb and/or bluetooth on this emulator successfully.
Could you please share your experience with that? How did you configure it?

Hello!
Start with clicking the back button which will bring you to the main menu. From there you can load an image, setup the emulator, etc.
