Apart from stock camera we can have some Sony ported apps in CM and PA na ? Like Z2 ported SystemUI etc etc... ? I think yes..
i miss also been able to sync facebook contacts with the contacs , i'm using the Album app , movies, walkman already
i'll give that camera app a shoot ;D !! actually i'm using the google camera app

And also there is a Z2 social camera port for CM 11/ PA / AOSP based roms.. Did u tried that ?
I know it will not give any big difference in photo clarity..
I tried many camera apps but snap HDR is the best of all with aosp, there is a Facebook calendar sync app also and Walkman is not good at all if you're using BT, the default music app is the best in term of sound quality.
