Finally something where all the add ons implemented actually work instead of sometimes work. Thanks for putting this out.

I've been wondering why y'all use a source built calendar(I assume it's source built) instead of the one from the play store. I've seen it in all of the AOKP build I've flashed by you and the official one on Toro. Does it hurt anything to download the one from the market, move it to system and remove the old one? Does it even make a difference besides getting an updated one from Google when it's released?

Well the first part is because historically we will be working on a feature in the open and before we work out the bug someone else will grab it like they have this awesome new feature. We try to get all the bug we can find out, then user test, then merge.... Not merge and hope it works...

We just haven't removed it. It won't hurt anything

I know this question doesnt necessarily pertain to this exact rom. Since i had it on cm also.. But since i still have the problem i was wondering if the op could help. I get this image problem on browser. Only on one site. Github. Here is wat it does

era2a5av.jpg

Edit: Ok this is weird. Only github pages that have that contributions tab do it. Once i click on repositories and scroll it does that

Running great for me too. First time running AOKP.

Really wanted the nav buttons closer together so I don't have to reach, so I had to choose 7 buttons and just put transparent icons on the unused ones.

Any way to do this simply via settings?

There will be. I just haven't added it back in yet. I did just fix the navring on lock screen in tabletui and add back in the options to hide the compact mode button that pops up in some apps. Also added in some toggles missing from tablets since we have torch and vibrate. Prolly upload this if everything works right. :)

donations / flashing compatibilities

Thank you for the ROMS, downloading them now!

I don't mean to make more work for the OP, but would you put a note by the devs' names in the OP to explain their contributions to AOKP? I want to donate, but if possible I would like to know which of those developers are working on AOKP for the Nexus 10. If you're all doing the same thing, maybe you could set up a shared account? IMHO, the list of donation links is a little intimidating, and could discourage people from sending you a few bucks as a way of saying thanks.

The PUB builds sound great! Generally speaking, will it usually be okay to flash a PUB build over another PUB build if only cache/dalvik are wiped? What about flashing AOKP over PUB?

I am currently using clockworkmod recovery, but IIRC, AOKP prefers TWRP. Does anyone know if goo manager installs a working version of TWRP for the N10, and if so, did it flash/backup AOKP for you without problems?

How did you get your homescreen to display in Tablet mode?

It looks like a new PUB build is being uploaded as I type! I'll flash and report how flashing PUB over PUB works/doesn't work.

edit: small problem when I downloaded the jan 13 pub build, I waited until the upload generated an md5 sum, then downloaded directly to tablet from aosp browser. the resulting file had the wrong extension, so I renamed it to zip, but the checksum doesn't match the one posted to androtransfer. I'll try downloading it other ways.

Thanks to ktoonsez for the cpu and gpu tables. That makes life easier as a good starting point.

You'll notice we don't have as many governors, schedulers and bells and whistles
Ill leave that to the full time kernel devs this is just supposed to be simple, fast, clean.

you can still use KTweaker to modify cpu, gnu and governor. Until performance control is fixed and updated.

    For The Public

Announcement time, I have good news and bad news for you guys. I'm taking a break from Development as i've known it for a while. I'll still be around but you guys probably won't here much from me. I'm gonna pass on maintaining the device and threads i'm been working on and also halting development on Project Unicorn Butter. Anyone who wants to carry that torch is more than welcome to. The good news is I've made it easy to bring PUB to any ROM. below you'll find a local manifest with branches for AOKP and CM those manifests should cover a large majority of all android ROMs since most are either based on CM or AOKP. I Heart you guys and all the support you have given me, but I'm just a little burned out and need a break from responsibility to relax and find the joy in developing that i have some what lost. Once it started feeling like work and not fun I decided it was time for a break. Hope to seem you guys again some time.

    AOKP Build 3 PUB [mako]

    Help yourselves:

    http://goo.im/devs/bigxie/AOKP_PUB/aokp_mako_unofficial_Feb-11-13.zip

I tested it pretty thoroughly, so fairly certain everything is working. Synced this afternoon so it includes all the goodies from Build 3 found here:

    http://aokp.co/release-jb-mr1-build-3/

Let me know how it goes, thanks!

P.S. it includes a pretty old Faux kernel from 1/18 so I suggest flashing another. I wasted quite a bunch of time trying to get inline kernel building working, but the PUB toolchain doesn't seem to like it. Next time I will just include a newer prebuilt.
