Dude, this is great. I actually enjoy the stock rom, unlike the garbage I have gotten from Samsung in the past. Is there a list of which apps were removed? The Bell ones I use (mobile tv and selfserve) I can easily reinstall, even remote pvr if I need to demo that for a customer again. But the LG ones would be harder to come by, but I could back up the installer, if they have one.

Thanks buddy, and great work.

This rom is *exactly* what I need. CM 10.1 has a bug which all the JB roms for the LGOG have, which stops me from being able to make use of my data. This only affects those with unlimited mobile browsing (eg. SpeakOut) and it breaks tethering. This will be my DD but I need some help getting it onto my phone.

I accidentally wiped my sdcard instead of /system. Now all my phone can do is boot into fastboot and also CWM 6.0.2.3 recovery. How can I get this rom onto my internal SDcard? I do not have an external SDcard slot on my E971 Rogers.

I think you might be best flashing stock with kdz, rooting, then freegeeing, then putting rom onto sd, then reboot into cwm (this rom only flashes with cwm by the way) and flash,

Also when you flash stock again with kdz, use the firmware that allows you to root.
I done exact same as you yesterday, unless there is a fast boot command to transfer rom onto sd I'm not sure though.

I done exact same as you yesterday, unless there is a fast boot command to transfer rom onto sd I'm not sure though.

I installed ADB on my PC then booted my phone into fastboot, pressed Vol Down, Vol Down, Power. That took me to CWM, which I have upgraded to 6.0.2.3. Note that everyone must update CWM (or TWRP) and I saw some ppl saying CWM 6.0.2.7 may not be good on our LGOG. Note2: You must make a new backup once you upgrade your CWM because the nandroid backups from the original CWM 6.0.1.9 are not working! Once CWM is running, ADB can be used to upload a new rom to the phone with the ADB push command. In adb shell I used "mkdir" to make a folder first, I like to call it AAA. It took 5-10 mins to copy the rom zip file onto the LGOG then I immediately flashed it with CWM. Everything is normal again :)

I luv this rom so far. It even has the 10e update. The LED works and the capacitive buttons are great to have working again. Most importantly, I can now tether and use a proxy! Very fast rom.

Thanks Houstonn, this rom was WAY overdue and well needed and appreciated. Other developers had made promises but all tried and failed.

Two Q:
1. With the debloating I expected to have more ram available. Still 900mb of 2000mb is being used. Any idea what is using so much memory?

2. I have rogers E971, is fast dormancy working?

3. Did anyone find a link for the Google Search zip that is compatible? Or what is the criteria we are looking for when searching for the apk. Will a generic ICS google search apk be what we need or is there more to it?

So not sure if it's ROM or cable related, but I'm getting a battery not charging after a full drain. It most likely is cable related. See here.

However this is most definitely ROM related. The auto brightness doesn't work! It stays stuck at X amount of brightness. When the room is dark, it was still at 63% brightness so I had to dim the screen manually to 0%, then turn on auto brightness again. Now the room is bright, but it's stuck at 0% brightness.

Have you tried another ROM? Did you do a clean flash?

    Stock LG Optimus G Bell Variant E973(h)

    ROGERS & TELUS in 2nd POST

    Since a lot of people will be flashing and trying out new roms, I wanted to make an easy just stock clean version (bare bones)
    instead of reflashing the stock image back & then reRooting & then ReFreegee'ing.. So I decided to release to the public as well.
    Remember this is not an Enhancement Rom or Fully Customized Rom that's going to make your phone go vroooom. it's just stock
    to fall back on.

    Houstonn, I've been using this all day , simply this is what we should get on our devices!!
    I can confirm the fast dormancy app does not work for bell devices and telus, I used adb to turn it off, I'll post the link to the instructions I used

    I have weeded out a good chunk of the included apps using Titanium and I must say I could not be more happy with this phone. I got rid of apps that I know I would never use, installed a few stock Google apps to replace, but left that apps I felt like...maybe that could be useful. The biggest change came after disabling Fast Dormancy(thank you VERY much to jonasl). My Android OS usage in Battery Info went from being 50-55% usage to 14-23%. No more wake in BetterBatteryStats related to fast dormancy.

    For Sasktel E973 users...the MCCMNC # Sasktel uses is 302780...so to do this via ADB your commands would be as follows:

    $ adb shell
    # su
    # sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db
    update dcm_settings set fastdormancy="0" where numeric="302780";
    .quit
    # reboot

    And if you want to revert back to having it enabled with default values you would do:

    $ adb shell
    # su
    # sqlite3 /data/data/com.android.providers.telephony/databases/telephony.db
    update dcm_settings set fastdormancy="1,0,0,1000,5000,10000,5000,5000,1" where numeric="302780";
    .quit
    # reboot

    For other Canadian Network MCCMNC #'s ....

    The apps that I have successuly uninstalled via Titanium in no particular order:
    -Calender
    -Calender Widget
    -Email
    -Email Widget
    -Facebook
    -Favorite Contact Widget
    -Finance
    -Media Home
    -Memo
    -Memo Widget
    -Music 3.1.007
    -Music 3.0.33
    -MusicFX
    -News
    -Notebook
    -SmartShare
    -Twitter
    -Video Editor
    -Video Wiz
    -Nuance Voice Control
    -Voice Recorder
    -Weather
    -Google Play Books
    -Google Play Movies

    That at is all.....cheers all

    Any chance you would be interested in making this debloated? The thread with the debloated ROM is pretty much dead. If this one works as well as others are saying, then having a clean stock Rom with all the junk removed like in member markdexter's post would be awesome, and a real time saver. All the carrier and LG crapwear is the main reason I'm using the CM Rom.

    It is debloated. Read the OP.

    Rogers version works great. Thanks

    Kk thanks for letting me know.
