XperiaSrootingKit 1.0.4.3 (fix-1) (Based-on Sharaz22's guide and huhka_com's acroHDrootingKit):

Changelog:
1.0.4.3 (fix-1) [06-07-2012]
  1. Fix "remount ro /system" problem

1.0.4.3
  1. Additional folder (place your apk file inside and it will put it in your ROM)
  2. ES File Explorer 1.6.1.6 included

  1. Remove redundant files
  2. Busybox 1.19.0
  3. Fixes SuperSU not installing problem
  4. Auto complete between some tasks
  5. Better Translation

  1. Smoother Procedure
  2. Open FlashTool when needed
  3. Busybox 1.20.2
  4. Instruction update

  1. Procedure changing
  2. SuperSU 0.93

Guide:
Before you root your device, your device must running Gingerbread. Flash it back to Gingerbread if your device are running Ice Cream Sandwich
Open Run.dat and it will lead you through the process

Gingerbread Tips:
  1. If you trying to root Gingerbread you may encounter more problem than rooting a Ice Cream Sandwich
  2. Try to whole down Power Key and Up Volume button to force shut-down your device. And start from where you failed again.
  3. Debug options may somehow disabled when you Flash your machine back to Gingerbread after Step 3, re-enable it and try again.
For Ice Cream Sandwich just follow the guide and you will be fine

This will work on GB too, flash back to Gingerbread after step 2.
You may need few attempts and force reboot finish to step 4 to step 5

Confirmed working with Xperia S. I think this is better as the flash process is reduced by once :)

Just read those text presented in the batch file in conjunction with the tutorial which this is based on.

IMO, this is better than the original tutorial. I tried the original, I didn't get the SU installed properly only busybox.

I give this a try. With this, you flash less 1 time and one of the step I believe is different in terms of ticking the options in flashtool.

Manage to root my LT26i with this method, without worries. Thank you. Its like Im holding my xperiaS just like my x10 :)

how does one add apps to /data/app folder

id like 2 do what u did with the addicional folder

but add another folder extras 2 install to data/app folder

id like 2 add/update preinstalled apps

is this possible?

    i didnt even started but i already get error?!

    it said can't not find flashtool and fasttools64.exe , how can i fix it? i have both rootkit and flashtool folder under c:/flashtool and c:rootkit
