Mine connects fine so I don't think I need that app or anything to get connected. I have also tried the 2.4ghz only setting and it doesn't prevent the problem. Thank you for the advice though.

Still I show no certificates installed but I doubt this has anything to do with it because as you said it wouldn't connect at all if that was the problem.

Ok now that I think about it, it did connect but it would drop a lot after going to sleep. Then if I checked in settings, authentication was changed to none instead of mschapv2! I so I'm thinking the problem is some setting not sticking. For some reason the problem went away when I used that app.
So I recommend that you try the certificate route too. It might solve your problem.

Here's what i've noticed.

Wi-fi signal in general on the Galaxy Nexus is really weak, I don't know why. Compared to my i9100 which I just sold. It is getting 1-2 bars less on wifi than my i9100 SGSII.

It drops constantly now too and it takes really long to connect again.

I'm running liquidsmooth 1.25 and franco 121 nightly.

Quick update: Today I have tried the ICS Rom (IceCreamTostidroid v11.0 normal) on my HD2 and it connected with my office wifi network without any issue. I only configured the required settings using Wifi Advance Configurator aap... I think problem lies in WPA_Supplicant file.... I have tried the file from HD2 to my G-nexus but my wifi stopped working.... so i guess need to edit/configure the original file of our galaxy nexus to make it work.. If anyone can help with this then that would be great.

i managed to connect to network by setting manually the IP adress, instead of using DHCP

Unfortunately, I am not sure how to edit the Wpa file.. If anyone can do that it would be great. Regarding manual ip, i'll try that and report. Thanks for the info/findings by the way :)

whoever has weak wifi signal........or it disconnects

Try GaldOS kernel....I flashed it a few hours ago and it has definitely improved wifi strength and connection.

Night and Day going from stock kernel or Franco kernel to this.....the wifi is superb now

For my work enterprise Wi-Fi connection, I'd to manually set mschapv2 for authentication for it to work.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA

Our office use kind of same protocols but i m totally unable to connect. If i edit the parameters using advance wifi app then it stays at connecting status, nothing else. Do you mind sharing your steps to configure your office network? I might have overlooked something.

Still waiting badly but nothing came up yet. I have mentioned before that we need a patched wpa_supplicant file which will work flawlessly. I do have a file which works great on this network but that's from ported ICS rom for HD2 and does not work on galaxy nexus as it disables the wifi due to mismatching drivers or something.

I'm having the same problem after buying my GNex, coming from other phones that worked without any problems whatsoever using WifiACE to edit my wifi settings. Any info would be helpful.

My workplace uses the following protocols:

Security: WEP (don't ask), EAP method: TTLS, Phase 2: PAP

Also, I simply cannot use a static IP address, any method must support DHCP, be it through manual editing of some obscure conf file or anything else. Thanks!
