TypoClock is now available in the Market:

TypoClock (Free)

So if you want to throw me 99ct, get the paid one ;)

Hey everyone,

in reply to vaughnhcky89's request here I started developing a widget.

As more and more people are requesting a separate thread for this, here it is!

Since HTC screwed up the runtime used in Sense-ROMs, the widget will display the day and month names in English only! On AOSP ROMs, the localized name will be shown.

Suggestions now also possible through UserVoice

Manual:

Settings are accessible via click on the left edge of the widget. The main area opens the Alarmclock upon clicking.

Coming up:

* (semi-transparent) background
* More translations for Sense users

Current Version: 0.65

I'd also appreciate more size options. Oh, and a half-transparent black background option (compare dClock). Oh, and world peace while you're at it ;)

Seriously, mighty fine app.

I'm still sticking to an earlier version though because I don't like the fixed font type right now. I've changed my system font and having a big widget in another font type kinda destroys homescreen aesthetics right now ;)

is it possible to have the widget stretched to the whole width of the screen? i've tried changing it myself yesterday but failed lol. :p

No, sorry... this will imho screw up the look ;)

Yes, background will be added soon... as for then fonts, I'm thinking of a way to make it more flexible...

aww.. too bad then. i love it the way it is, but i prefer it if it's bigger. :D

any chance you could tell me what i should change in order to make it stretch? i've looked at typoclock_widget.xml in older version and noticed you use absolute layout. so i changed the x- and y-position of every text and scale up the text size a bit. but i got problem when compiling the apk back.. no idea what i did wrong though. :(

If you get this figured out, would you mind sending me the apk or telling me how you did it?

OP, can you give some details on your theme/dock/icons? I'd like to know how I can get my phone to look like yours. I love typographic themes! :)

TypoClock vsxed-MOD

Here is my Mod of this TypoClock-Widget:

Screenshots:
MDPI: http://d.pr/atix
HDPI: http://d.pr/qw0S

There are two versions: black & white.
Both are full-sized (4x3 cells), perfect for the use with WidgetLocker.
This it how it looks on my GSM Hero:
attachment.php

I used the older version which uses your systemfont!
So i can't guarantee, that it will fit on every phone - it depends the Font you're using! (Screenshot: DroidSans, default font)
PM/AM-fix is integrated!

Widgets are attached, thanks to Semicuda!

You can also follow me on Twitter!

The dock icons are from here, the dock is attached and the taskbar is this one. The wallpaper is from here and if you use my dock, you'll need an invisible icon for the app launcher, since the ^ is part of the dock. The transparent png is here.

Weeell.... it looks like the evil thieves were brought to justice after all. The hijacked TypoClock a.k.a. Beautiful Clock Widget 3D disappeared from the market along with all of the other stolen apps :)

This means: I will be back soon! And no, you won't have to pay ;)
    2
To celebrate 5000 Downloads from the market, the free version now has drop shadow enabled and the paid version is on sale for EUR 0,50 (some other markets have higher minimum-prices, though)
    2
Okay.... now I need your help, guys:

If you are using Sense and want to have the texts localized, please take a few minutes and provide me with the month and day names in your language. Just edit the attached xml (don't forget to change the language code at the top) and send it back to me!

    Already done:

    German (DE)
    French (FR), thanks to maxwell302

How do you change the color and where do you find the codes for different colors?

Here's a hex color code generator:

    http://www.2createawebsite.com/build/hex-colors.html

But you have to add ff after the hashmark, those two are for the transparency.

For example, #af23a7 has to be entered as #ffaf23a7 in the widget.
