the problem comes from the script! you must change the meta-inf folder. just in RC 3 and RC4 versions.

0- Install 7Zip application
1- Right click on "Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe.zip" file.
2- select " 7-Zip -> Extract to "Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe.zip\"
3- wait for extract get finished, then go to created folder"Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe"
4-download attached file, Extract it, Copy and replace META-INF folder into "Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe" folder.
5- on Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe" folder ,Select all files, [3 folders, amestris , META-INF ,system ]
6- right-click on selected folders, and select " 7-Zip -> Add to "Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe.zip"
7- wait for creating new zip file.
8- now copy new created Amestris_PersianGulf_[v8.0_RCx]_deodex_nowipe.zip file into phone and Install it via CWM.


Sorry, the included script is not supported by the kernel.

Amestris (Persian Gulf Edition) V8.0 RC2
Feedback- Battery after 8 hours standby only approx. 5% battery drain.
Performance I may say same or better as v7.1 !
So far with my phone -no FC and NO BUGS to report :)

Super ROM !!!

I am using GO Launcher Ex with no problem at all !
and I cant decide which theme to use :)

First impression of RC4:
great performance
wifi works
bluetooth works
european keyboard works
To battery I can report tomorrow because I made a wipe and installed many apps etc.

I think it may be something wrong with my phone....

Installed RC4. Looked very nice even if colors was very mixed but maybe thats just a taste ;)

Tried many things and it seemed to work great.
But for some strange reason this rom keeps deleting the app Swiftkey for me and I dont understand why....And when I reinstall it I cant configure it because the it FC.

But the worst thing is that now when I go into recovery to reinstall previous backup, then it wont boot anymore...just keeps getting back at samsung text...

don't care about the keyboard, the target is battery consumption.

I must thank you very much for the hard work and the fast work. Amazing.

Do you have any idea about why it's not possible to install other keyboard?

I think bootloop had to do with the kernel.
I flashed only kernel in odin and phone booted.

Im currently installed the latest version of SwiftKeyX 2.2.0.159, and runs perfectly without any problem!

Im Running The Version 8.0 RC3 Version.


and i don't see any feedback about battery consumption here, i think the battery consumption is fixed, right?.

working for creating odex version, it seems there is not enough space to put swype on the odex rom!

i have to remove some stuffs, like QuickOffice, CF root EXT4 Manager, Some ringtones, or maybe Samsung Apps.


The final version will come on RC3 version. [Good Battery Consumption, Reported From Some Testers]

yes!! Remove Samsung Apps, it's bull****! and "maps" "street" and more, and add them in zip for who want them back to your rom! that's all, i want rom cleaner!! :)

    if you dont have a 2.3.6 Rom, please install it at first ,then follow this steps

    1-Install the kernel with CWM support, [Semaphore Kernel]
    2-Copy the "Amestris_rom_xxx.zip" into your phone storage.
    3-goto "Recovery Mod - CWM"
    4-Select "Install Zip from sdcard" , and select the "Amestris_rom_xxx.zip"

    Q: What's the Lagfix? do i need to enable it?
    A: Samsung use the "RFS" file system on partitions. the RFS has a low speed on writing or reading files,[Low Buffering], we change the partitions to "EXT4" file system, for better speed and smoothing more. with RFS we may have lag when working on high loads applications. for removing the lag from phone, we convert it to EXT4.

    A: Open the " ext4 " application, and select the "Convert to ext4".
    your phone get reboot, and will partition your device with "EXT4" partition.

    for disabling the lagfix, Select" Convert to RFS"

    A:You can use any deodex app over any odex rom, but you can't run an odex app over another odex or deodex version.

    Q: How we can install deodex app over odex rom?

    For example we want to change the keyboard to another version.

    The default Samsung's keyboard's is AxT9IME.apk.
    Every keyboards uses own lib [Library-file] file.
    The lib file for AxT9IME.apk is libXt9core.so , and located in /system/lib folder.


    1-We must remove the previous data at first,
    Go to /system/app folder and remove the AxT9IME.odex and AxT9IME.apkfile.
    you will receive an error when AxT9IME.apk is deleted, if you don't want to get error, just remove the AxT9IME.odex file and leave the AxT9IME.apk.
