I have the Galaxy S4 Active I537 Rooted w/safestrap. I followed all of the instructions when I installed the AOSP GE ROM but for some reason sometimes it reboots on it's own. Anyone know what the issue is?

I think that the issue may be the fact that the GE ROM has a 4.4.2 based kernel and according to this post: "[GUIDE][ROMS] List of ROMs for I537 using SafeStrap" (http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2491762) these are the steps for flashing a ROM. The first one mentions kernel compatibility.
Steps for flashing a ROM
1. Download a ROM file (must be 4.2.2 based with stock kernel)
2. Create ROM slot in SafeStrap
3. Flash the ROM and three update.zips: keys fix, camera patch, and modules fix (MF1, MF2, or MF3 depending on your stock firmware).
4. Wipe cache and dalvik.
5. Boot system
6. Report on how it works if you have problems and share any success.
