[MOD] com.android.phone FC - FIX JVR/S Phone odex & deodex

How can I install this phone fix? I've got the same problem. I've put the Phone.apk and Phone.odex in \system\app with Droid Explorer but after I have restarted the phone the problem is there still again. Is there a tutorial to fix the problem? Please help me.

Number of members have asked for an install guide & been ignored, can someone please educate us newbies on the routine to install this update, thanks.

Hi,

if you want, you can try this version which I just re-packaged a bit.
==> So all credits go to no.one.writeme, who solved it initially.

For me, the FC on JVT stock odex version is gone now.
So, could probably work for you as well...

Just flash via CWM in recovery mode and reboot.

Cheers
Andi
Did you add the non increasing ringtone ?

Thanks AndiP. Your manual works for me. Tomorrow I will test the result when I'm sitting in my car with Bluetooth on. Thanks a lot for your short manual.

09-10-2011 It worked for me thanks a lot.

I can tell you only how i made it on JVS firmware: i have a rooted phone. I extracted the files "Phone.odex" and "Phone.apk" from the zip archive and copied them to my SD card. Then i copied the 2 files with ES file explorer (root + system mounted read/write) to /system/app. Be sure to copy Phone.apk as the last file. After you replaced the original, the phone reboots. After reboot, i deleted the Dalvic cache and rebooted again.

Download the file - enter in CWM - Install zip from sdcard - select file.

Btw, the dev is on vacation. So, JVT version won't be available until, probably, October 20th or so.

Could you try to disable CDMA(de-select Auto) and use "GSM only" in the Mobile Network settings.

what happens to me is:
I use "GSM Only" then activate packet data , try to surf little bit and then network goes down, also I cannot make calls..
you also see that signal strength bars disappears and you see crossed circle which tells you that network is not available..

I would appreciate if you could test it..

thx in advance

Not working, still FC but even worse that needs to restart the phone.

EDIT: Flashing through CWM, no FC so far.

Probably u have a original odexed rom, some one said before this mod was meant for deodexed roms!

Flash ur rom again and dont use deodexed mods on odexed roms.

Custom roms are deodexed.

Stock roms are odexed.

Hope it helps

What's posted by AndiP was supposed to work on odexed JVT rom as I'm using.
