I managed to root my Galaxy Gear. I download the Null 23 ROM, when I attempt to unzip it. It says it's invalid. What am I doing wrong.

You are not going to unzip the file. You will need to load the Null (zip) file onto your gear. Then when you put the Gear into Twrp recovery mode you are going to install the null file. Go to the 1st page of the Null thread and read the instructions carefully. There are even embedded videos that help you step through Null install.
