[TUTORIAL] Flash BIN rom, Unbrick, Update - Optimus 3d (Service Flash software)

What I did...
Hi! Thanks for the tutorials.
I got my phone bricked, and was digging into this all, but nothing worked (I didn't create the cable with resistors though), but nothing worked. So, lastly, tired, I went to LG Mobile Support (it's on LG site, but the forum don't let me post the link because I don't have 8 posts) so you can google it; anyway, there I selected my phone, and found that Software Update button. So downloaded (on Win7 64), and installed. Connected the phone to the USB with the Vol Up button pressed, and Win detected the drivers. After that, the LG Software found the phone, and recognized. It told me the software was up to date, o I chose Emergency Mode in Software Update menu, it asked for IMEI, SN and Model. After that, a new software started that downloaded the ROM, and installed it correctly on the phone, and now all is working perfectly.
So, just figured I should share this, because maybe some one can fix this way.

Super bricked, no power no response
My phone is dead after switching external sd with internal sd via CWM script .zip file and a little tinkering in the phones system files.
(“I have done this before with success but had just flashed new firmware, and in the rush I was in wile doing it I obviously did something majorly wrong and super bricked my phone”)
After rebooting to complete a step I was doing, the phone did not turn back on, the pc does not detect it properly anymore, no button combinations work, such as pressing vol up when connected without battery, power button and pressing up + vol. No RESPONSE:.
when plugged into the pc it just flashes "OMAP4430 device" but appears and disappears all the time in device manager, now I know all drivers are correct and how to go into download mode, recovery mode and every trick you can with the O3D but none work anymore, phone does not turn on and only recognizes it for a second showing “OMAP4430 device”
NOW IF ANY ONE HAS MANAGED TO FIX A TRULY BRICKE O3D LIKE MINE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

There does not seem to be a software based method to unlock the O3D (As in some baseband versions of the Iphone).
You can unlock it for free if you call the network you are on and request this (Can mention that you want to use phone abroad at some stage etc) You should then get the code from the provider at some stage.
Other method ofcourse is via the code unlock sites which is not free.

There are hundreds. I would recommend that you get a prepaid creditcard that you can put funds in and pay using this method (would have to be weary about supplying card details where there is more money in the account)
I would recommend looking at user reviews from various sites as to which ones seem more reputable
Alternately it may be possible to unlock in some mobile stores (which have the necessary hardware) although this method does not work for all phones

I have a LG SU760 bayed from Korea few days ago.... during normal updates, my mobile died :-(
On the screen displayed S/W and some korean message (I'm Italian and I don't have any idea of Korean lenguages)

I'm in a complete mess with mine now. I've put two full days in to it so far. I tried to put DNA333 with the new E baseband on using CWM and got no radio. Tried the titan kernal to no avail. I then tried going back to an old image with CMW but that wasn't working either. Starting to panic now and I've tried everything. I am currently stuck in an XP that I've built especially, with small http server, the modified hosts file and all the usual bits and bobs. I can't get the test tool to put me a fresh KDZ on at all. Did they change something again?

1.Extract "Setup_LGFlashTool_1.1.zip" and Install.
2.Extract "file.zip" and put "LGFlashTool.exe" to location where you installed "Setup_LGFlashTool_1.1.zip" (default: C:\LG\LGFlashTool\)
3.Extract and Install "OMAPFlashInstaller-4.10(2).zip"
4.Exract "LGUnitedModemDriver_WHQL_ML_Ver_4.9.7_All_Win7_LGEAll.zip" and Install "LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497CA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0.exe " and "LGUnitedMobileDriver_S497MA20_WHQL_ML_Ver_1.0.exe "
5.Turn Off phone, Remove your phone's SIM and SD cards.
6.Press and hold voll up button in phone.
7.When u holding "voll up button" connect the USB cable.
8.When computer detects the new hardware (Omap4430) release "voll up button".

11.Run LGFlashTool.

13.In S/W select only *.bin file from downloaded rom.
14. Choice (Check) "USB" and click OK.
15. Click on Port COM settings(COM plug icon)
16.Check as on photos.

18. Disconnects USB cable and wait 5 seconds.
19. Press and hold voll up button in phone and connect USB cable.
20. The update process will begin automatically after that release the "vol up".
21.When the progress bar reaches 100%, Power ON the phone.
WARNING!!!
If the update process has stopped for a longer time (about 5 minutes) not disconnect the phone from USB, , press and hold Vol Up + Power and wait when update process resume.
You do this on your own risk!

To flashing rom with LGFLASHTOOL without errors you need right USB cable.
Between 4 and 5 pin you have to solder resistor 910 Kohm.
The update process is the same ,but u don't need press any button when connect USB cable to phone.
Phone screen during update
This fix update screen isue
After flashing the phone will restart.
Update screen appears again(don't disconnect usb cable from phone and don't close LGDLASHTOOL)
Please wait until you see the info about error of OTA update.
After that the phone rebots and power On automaticaly.

11.Zaznaczamy USB i klikamy ok.
12.Klikamy na port setting (ikonka wtyczki com)

15. odłaczamy telefon od USB na ok 5 sekund
16. Wciskamy i trzymamy vol up, podlaczamy USB
17. Proces aktualizacji rozpocznie sie automatycznie, gdy to nastapi możemy puścić vol up.
18. Gdy pasek postępu dojdzie do 100%, należy uruchomić telefon przyciskiem POWER.
UWAGA!!! Gdyby proces aktualizacji zatrzymał sie na dłuzej (ok 5 minut) należy, nie odłaczać telefonu od USB, wcisnąć i trzymać vol up + power, do momentu kontynuacji aktualizacji.

Aby wgrywanie romu programem LGFLASHTOOL przebiegło bez błędów, należy posiadać odpowiedni kabel USB.
Pomiędzy 4, a 5 pin USB Micro-B należy wlutować rezystor 910Kohm.
Proces aktualizacji wykonuje sie tak samo jak w pierwszym poście. Jedyna różnica to punkt 5a,b ; 16 PODCZAS PODŁACZNIA KABLA USB NIE WCISKAMY ŻADNEGO PRZYCISKU!!!!!!
Podczas aktualizacji na telefonie powinien pojawić sie ekran:
Osoby którym telefon zablokowal się na ekranie:
Po wykonaniu wgrywania romu, nastąpi restart telefonu. Ponownie pojawi sie w/w ekran aktualizacji (kabel usb musi być cały czas podlączony do komputera i telefonu, a LGFLASH TOOL uruchomiony)
Należy czekać, aż pojawi sie w telefonie info o błędzie aktualizacji OTA. Telefon się ponownie zrestartuje i nastapi jego uruchomienie.
