Re: [ROM][AOSP][JB][4.2.2][JDQ39] SuperNexus 2.0 - I9300 - BUILD 3 [17-02-13]

Thanks for your reply. However, I am using the original charger. Is it a feature/issue on 4.2.2 because my Nexus 7 also takes ages to fully charge to 100% with its original charger.

As far as the toggles are concerned, what I mean is when I click on say 'Wi-Fi' in the notification pane, I reach the 'Wi-Fi Settings' page in the 'Settings' menu, whereas on my Nexus 7 and other ROMs that I have tried on my S3, the 'Wi-Fi' button on the notification bar switched Wi-Fi on or off without taking me to the 'Wi-Fi Settings' page. So is there a way to do that in this ROM? I hope that this is much clear.

+1 that is the only thing I don't like on this tomorrow I hope there a way to put back the stock samsung toggles

I think if you long press the toggle it turns on or off. Google only recently changed it I think, so might not be on this ROM. I could be wrong about all that. :D

1 click on the toggle takes you to the settings. Long press activates or deactivates the desired toggle (wifi, bluetooth)

It should be charging as usual. Check your charger, that's what controls how much current is going into your phone (too high of one can kill it)

I'm not quite sure, or rather I don't quite understand what you mean with the toggles?

Thanks guys!

Can anyone now help me with the slow charging issue please? Do I need to flash a new kernel or is there a way to change those values in the bundled kernel? Also, could anyone let me know if there is a way to check the charging current values?

Maybe something in your country changed? They changed the power output or something?

Nice one!! Jokes apart guys, can anyone seriously help me with this? Is there any way I can find out the charging current values at least?

Hey,

with the app "Android Tuner Free" from google play it's possible to check out the charging values.
install it, then go to "LOGS" > "MANAGE" > "KERNEL MESSAGE" > "FILTER" > "CUSTOM" then type "77693" and press "Ok"

Now plug in the charging cable and wait about 10 seconds. after this all the stuff logged and maybe you could see anything in the log file.
like this for example:

V/28542.351758 c0 max77693_reduce_input: 800mA to 700mA
V/28542.351244 c0 max77693_softreg_work: unstable power
V/28542.351176 c0 max77693_softreg_work: INT_OK(0x1c), CHGIN(0x0), CHG(0x1), BYP(0x8), ST2(0x43), IN_CURR(800)
U/28542.338542 c0 max77686: id=27, org=27, val=37
V/28542.302175 c0 max77693_reduce_input: 900mA to 800mA
V/28542.301515 c0 max77693_softreg_work: unstable power

s3 reduces the current step by step, if there is a problem like here "unstable power" caused through my damaged usb cable.

maybe this could help you

For some weird reasons, the way toggles work on SuperNexus is quite strange. I'll check with my Nexus 4 on the toggles when I reach the office tomorrow. I doubt Google would flip the functions, defeats the purpose of 'quick' settings.

Again as for the battery, It charges at 1A. I don't think you can regulate charges with software, and at least you shouldn't. Besides 1A is already like a lot for a phone. I don't suggest changing anything on charging. I have a friend who fried his phone for "power charging" his phone. How important is fast charging to you?

I've posted a fix from the CM team that works for the SuperNexus ROM a few pages back..flash that and your tethering should work.

It's possible use the ChainFire 3D with this ROM? In my Galaxy S3 when I install the ChainFire driver, the mobile stuck on boot Samsung logo... :/

I'm not too sure about that..but did you clear your cache? Maybe that'll fix it. As for compatibility, I am not too sure about it..

I have downloaded 3 times the ROM, md5 checked I get this error every time on installation:

symlink: some symlink failed
E:Error in sdcard/0/Supernexus-2.0-i9300-BUILD3.zip (Status 7)
Installation aborded

I am using Philztouch latest recovery, and I wiped everything before flashing. Someone can help me? :(

EDIT: I have rebooted recovery, I have just wiped Factory data and everything works fine!

Awesome rom Faryaab! I've been following your rom dev since F1 series for i9000.

My 1st impression after installation : the rom is super-duper quick! Feels light as feather as well!

Just a thing to check,is it aosp by default don't sync with fb's event & albums? Just an enquiry.

Otherwise it's a snappy rom! Great work mate!

Nice ROM, fast and feels nice, but am i really the only one with the keyboard bug? I just installed it like 5 mins ago and when i type something on the keyboard, sometimes some weird looking "pop up" comes, you can see the borders of the popup are weird:

Am i the only one with this problem?
