One reason I got this tablet was to try miracast. I picked up a Panasonic. Blue ray player that supports miracast. It was easy to configure and works great! I don't know why but was surprised that it sends the sound also.

Isn't this Miracast that requires the screen to be on all the time ?

Yes, it appears that the screen must be on to enable screen mirroring. That is OK for me. I have it on right now with my 50" plasma TV and using my bluetooth keyboard. I just use the tablet kind of like a mouse pad since I don't know how to naviigate to everything with the keyboard.

Can use app Screen Standby to cut the signal to the screen. Funny is you can still tap :D
