[Q] Z2 and USB OTG

I want to be able record at 120fps straight onto an external drive, but I note when you plug a drive in the phone doesn't give s option.

is there anyway round that?

I don't think it will be possible with Sony camera app. To tell you the truth its first time I hear about recording straight onto OTG device. All I can think of is to somehow deceive camera app that OTG storage is an sdcard. Some link for example.

Try a third party camera app? not sure if any can do it but just the first thing that came to mind.

cos I want to record for a long period at 120fps and you don't get much footage on a 64gb card

well you could use Foldermount if you are rooted and redirect the DCIM folder to your OTG hard drive

Foldermount: http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=2192122 which basically lets you symlink any folder anywhere.

excellent many thanks, I will have a read of that during the world cup final later

(not opened either link) is there no way of adding the external drive to the camera settings? you have the option of internal and SD cant we add another option for external?

Nope, no option for that. You'll have to do it the hard way!

Edit: An alternative would be to use another camera app, like ABC, which lets you save to a custom folder.

My bad. ABC stands for A Better Camera and you can get it from here. I don't really know if it's able to record on 720p 120FPS but you can try it and see what happens

that's a real nice camera app, thanks.

it does everything under the sun except record at 120fps
