I'm glad everyone has been happy with this ROM. If I ever get my hands on another note 3, I would gladly update it. I've already sold mine a long time ago and am on a Note 4 now.
Is there anyway i can get whatever files needed to you for a possible update and then try them on my device? Kinda a tester if you will. I know thats a longshot way to go about things but it looks as tho I'm going to be rocking this rom for the rest of my N3 days until N5 edge drops. Id be more then willing to help in anyway i could to make that happen. Feel free to PM me if that would be something that would work.

Whats up!!!! Coming along ok got side tracked a bit with life but I'm going to have a good few days to dedicate this weekend at my buddies hunting cabin. Tho I don't hunt much I will ve enjoying meat over fire!!! And working on this app thing. I'll hit you up with questions lol but if nothing more to just say whats up! As I can't say I miss this rom because I'm still running it with an awesome theme that runs great on this rom. But I do miss all the new updates and everyone going crazy. :) made me sad when freeza went to the N4 but it was bound to happen. I'm just waiting for the N5 edge to use my upgrade. But I do miss everyone!!! But I'm still rockin this bad@$$ Rom!!!

Hey, is anyone around for support for this wonderful mod or should I go straight to Q&A? Either way I'll take this oppurtunity to say the short version is I cant seem to install this mod...

Edit *not even 2 mins later*: It appears that i'm either an idiot, impatient, or lucky because I seem to have stumbled into a solution. So nvm and thanks for just being here to read this.

Edit 2 : I've gotten far, but it stayed stuck at upgrading starting apps... So I'm back to square one

Most have moved on but have you considered ppwering off during initial boot and wiping dalvic and cache once booted into recovery? That fixed a similar issue for me on a different ROM once.

Have you figured out your problem yet? If not maybe I can help. What kind of trouble are you having?

U still on kk if so go with classic 2.0 rom ton of themes and rom is themed already give thanks to chaz if you do decide to go with it

Sent from my SM-N900P using XDA Free mobile app

Another great Classic theme is on the doorstep also. Porkyhontas has done a great job.

But for the record, I loved Fre3 as well and would upgrade to N4 to try Freeza's latest if I had the money...

Do you guys have any recommendations for Lollipop/MM roms? Something that is stable and is good for a daily driver? I know I might have to update my base software as I am on NK4 but I am willing to. I want to make this Note 3 last another year :D

1st off assuming you have custom recovery installed and have a back up of your stock rom. Grab the 2.26 and the 2 26b Update first. Make sure you have a good signal for download to SD . Once downloaded boot into recovery using the 3 button combo.
Power/home/volume up at the same time.
Once in recovery do a factory reset x3 then dalvik/cache x3
Flash 2.26 and reboot into system and let it set up and settle down. Then boot back into recovery, wipe dalvik/caches and flash the 2.26b update. DO NOT JUST FLASH 2.26b!!!! You will have trouble.

ok im going to use the nk4 rom that was recommended to me to flash after i install twrp for recovery, I'm not entirely sure about this signal thing for downloading to sd but i guess ill cross that bridge when i come to it. I'll report back if i hit a wall. THANKS!

edit: just occured to me that i need an external sd for this to work since factory resetting the phone removes the 2.26 files on my phone! DOH

ok so i feel so noobish and out of the loop, but at what point would i be downloading anything? i thought all the files would be transferred manually from pc to phone, also... should i mention that this device isnt actually activated with a server and more serves as a...tablet?

i'm also still stuck on ok2 which was pointed out to be a problem. i just factory reset x3 and dalvik wiped x6 then used stock factory reset x4 and then flashed stock nk4 rom through odin, pulled batter, and wiped davik x3 and still booted up as baseband nk2. idk what im doing wrong here

Dnt boot into download mode. Power off the device then 3 button into download mode. Odin your stock, let it do its thing the pull battery again and repeat odin process once more then boot into system and see how that works. But I do know that you have to boot in download mode from a powered of device.

Introducing: Galaxy Note fre3 post-install with Xposed Framework

In Galaxy Note fre3 2.0, I have written a post-install script that will install, on first boot, the Xposed Framework, wanam, tinted status bar, and butteredtoast. This does not mean you have to manually install Xposed, and enable modules. It is all automated and all happens on first boot. No need to 'reflash' the ROM. This will happen any time you do a factory reset on this ROM. It also sets a few default settings, enables tethering, and a bunch of things behind the scenes. I consider this a version 0.1 product. It has great potential and will able me to apply entire settings on your device--everything from ringtones to brightness, volume, widget layouts, lockscreen wallpaper, etc. You name it, I can probably make the post-install script do it. This will enable the Galaxy Note fre3 ROM to be truly customized in every way exactly how I intend it to be.

You will notice upon first boot, when the white screen comes on telling you that your phone is setting up for the first time, that the phone will quickly 'hot boot' after about 30 seconds. This is completely normal and is part of the post-install process. Don't freak out and think you're in a boot loop. Everything will be fine. As the ROM progresses, I will modify that screen with a message like "Your phone will reboot during the setup. Please wait..."

    See it in action:

Hmm, not many exciting things going on lately, but I have noticed a largely security based update was released. NK4.... I'll be updating the ROM to this shortly. No kernel source was released for this update so I can only assume it is a very minimal update.

I'll also be updating the kernel, removing a few modules, and adding new ones over the next week!

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this project even with the lack of activity going on both here and the Note 3 forum as a whole.
