MIUI v1.1.28 ROM

Change log thanks miui-dev
http://www.miui-dev.com/content.php?57-MIUI-1.1.28-RELEASE-NOTES

About MIUI
MIUI is a ROM made by a group of chinese developers based on cyanogenmod. It is heavily customized and includes lots of original applications. since this is a chinese ROM all text are in chinese. luckily lots of people have translated this ROM. What this means is that you have lots of choice.. There are lots of custom builds these include extra applications and tweaks and are already translated for you. so no languages pack is needed. If you what just the original ROM with no added tweaks or apps download the base ROM and after that apply a languages pack.

FAQ

Is this ROM stable?
To me it is , but it is a Beta release. And the kind and talented developers of MIUI release a new version every week. So if absolute stability is key it is better to us a stock desire ROM

How do I create a Theme for MIUI?
http://miui-dev.com/forums/showthre...ng-MIUI-general-tutorials-of-tweaks-I-ve-made

I have market problems thanks MapleDouglas
http://www.techcredo.com/android/how-to-fix-download-installation-unsuccessful-android-market-issues

How to take a screenshot
Hold menu and press volume down, you will find the screen shot in /sdcard/MIUI and in the gallery

How to make sure my favorite music player is using the lock player buttons thanks MKuiter
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=9060233&postcount=2056

How can I translated this ROM in my language
Make your own language packs: (djmcnz)
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=8268893&postcount=3
k900 found this tool to make the translation progress easier
https://github.com/miracle2k/android2po

After flashing a languages pack my phone thinks it it a Nexus One
Most languages packs are created for the N1 the translated apk's are compatible with
the desire, but the build.prop is for the N1. adb push this build prop to correct this
http://www.multiupload.com/MFUGIXNS7E

What about the weather app?
it works in china only, since it makes use of a chinese weather provider, so this isn't translated. and most of the time not included.

I have a Battery drain / wifi issue
xavierjohn22 has made a great how-to to fix this, thanks a bunch xavierjohn22
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=9617817&postcount=3508

The update application is not working
This is correct for translations the ROM needs to be deodexed the update application needs to have odexed files

I would like to have the Ubuntu font by nanujra
http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=9782857&postcount=3805
or adb the font if you don't have s-off ;)

How to create a bigger SD partition? by MapleDouglas
http://www.techcredo.com/android/tu...-for-a2sd-with-gparted-on-a-windows-pc-ext234

I have some problems installing apps on a2sd
from a terminal app
su (for rooting)
a2sd check ( check it for a2sd working and ready for activation)
a2sd zipalign
a2sd cachepart (for have Alpharev N1 table or custom mtd table users)
or
a2sd cachesd (for have ext part. users, not have AlphaRev N1 table or mtd custom table users )
--reboot--( auto works )

MIUI 1.1.7 English R1 DATA2EXT

MIUI 1.1.7 English R1 DATA2EXT

Hi guys... This build is based on Data2whatever script by melethron..Stable and smooth until now for me...You don't need to create any partition or formatting on your SD card...Only I recommend 1gb ext partition size...

---make a BACKUP OF ALL YOUR DATA ON THE SD..THIS WILL ERASE THE SD-EXT PARTITION IF IT IS NOT ALIGNED

---Need a FULL WIPE (Data/Cache/Dalvik-cache)... It's so important

---Kernel changed to couttstech-2.6.35.10_OC1113_Froyo_BFS_BFQ_SLQB..
Great works..stable, fast, smooth with Data2Ext script...and great battery life...

---Based on my last English R2 Full rom..

I'm using the 128Mhz Defrost Kernel (AXI Version). Works perfect for me! Nice battery drain.

Only thing you have to do is to setup a profil in SetCPU with Screen off at 245MHz.

cheers,
Manuel

+1 running same kernel good performance and battery drain plays nice with MIUI

Yes indeed, very nice battery drain; I had 1,5% battery drain per 2 hours in standby with the HAVS AXI version. The only problem I had with all the 6.1 Defrost kernels was a weird glitch from time to time. Sometimes it went back to the previous screen on its own (without touching the back button). It looked a bit like a crash but it wasn't.

At the moment I have MIUI installed but I somehow want to start over with MIUI, from what I understand if I want to make a clean install of the new MIUI first (secure all data, then) I wipe all data, flash the Radio (32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2), flash the kernel (defrost 128Mhz HAVS-AXI-BFS) and then flash the latest MIUI zip and then setup a profil in SetCPU with Screen off at 245Mhz? or is there anything else?

thx 4 your help..

You don't need setcpu, unless you want to OVERCLOCK

Has anyone else had any issues using stock calendar app? I get a bunch of text in the calendar . Every single day has small black text saying "early september", "mid october", "late november", etc... Real annoying. Had to install an alternative calendar and widget.
