Yeah, could do that, and may do in the future, I'd have to go back to sources and check every modem against every firmware release, as most are found for multiple generic and carrier specific firmware.

Just won't have the time during July to do that (away working), but not a big deal to add a modem here and there to keep the thread up to date

hi, does anybody know where i could get chinese s3 ( 9308 ) modem file?
I flashed my chinese s3 with slim ics, all works great except the phone is not recognizing my sim card, something wrong with the modem file.

China Mobile uses TD-SCDMA for 3G ... which modem file could i flash?

I tried a lot from 9300, but all results in FAIL

I've just downloaded a few and haven't tried any yet. My unit came with UBLF2 and I get really low signal in my home.

Here is a leaked Chinese firmware package. You can just extract the modem and flash that. I9308ZMALEA

Testing the I9300TDULF2 on Vodafone in Australia here.

Downloads seem to be roughly the same speed as the stock modem (I9300TDULE6 shipped with my device) @ around 110kBs per second.

Uploads varied greatly (anywhere between 200KBps on the stock ROM to 50KBps).
The TDULF2 was more consistent, with an upload speed varying from 55-75KBps.

Wifi range seems to be about the same.

Overall speed seems to be about the same.

The signal strength on the I9300TDULF2 hovers around -99dBm to around -110dBm and ranging from 1-8asu (have no idea what any of this means, but thought I'd include it).

The stock I9300TDULE6 does much the same.

I think a lot of these numbers are not conclusive though as the weather here (in Sydney) is terrible and clearly affecting reception. Also, where I live, doesn't pick up the best reception from cell towers anyways. Probably best if I tried to compare the ROMs in the CBD.

the last firmwares for denmark and sweden (HTDALF1 and HTSALF1) have a brand h3g modem? NELF1 if i'm not mistaken?

Call signal is great, no crackle or anything like that. Voice coming in is crisp and clear. Down here in Orange County i get consistent 2-3bars (1.5-3mbps) but bring the phone up in the Los Angeles county, and im locked to a full 4 bars (even in MALLS!!) with transfers anywhere from 3.5-4mbps. Maybe AT&T just lack cell towers around beach cities, but overall, very impressive radio. I might try the LFB radio sometime over the weekend to see how that fair.
