I have put together a few videos showing you how to unlock the bootloader, gain a custom recovery (TWRP), root the device and then get S-OFF on your HTC One M8.
NOTE: Some M8's will simply not work with Firewater. If this is the case you will have to use SunShine to gain S-off but it will cost you $25
