app_29@android:/ $ export PATH=/data/local/bin:$PATH
app_29@android:/ $ su
app_29@android:/ # md temp
sh: md: not found
127|app_29@android:/ # cp
sh: cp: not found
127|app_29@android:/ #

Doesn't that indicate that it's not properly symlinked?

EDIT: oops! Got DOS in my head. md isn't a command, but cp should be, no?

Try
busybox cp instead of cp

Thanks but I've already installed the KagadarLinkFixer260312v1 script to fix the symlinks to busybox and now the S30datafix works (at least through adb shell, not sure if it actually runs at startup or not).

I'm not sure why busybox wasn't correctly symlinked on my phone. I had done a clean install of slim 3.4 a couple of weeks ago, and just upgraded to 3.6 2 days ago...

i'm just asking to be sure: if it doesn't work without the busybox-prefix, does that mean that busybox isn't properly symlinked and i should try the linkfixer or a busybox-update?

greetz,

sUsH

My less-than-expert opinion is that YES, that would mean that busybox isn't properly symlinked. I used the linkfixer and it did the trick for me.

Not true. I just tested on sgs and Gnex, no busybox is needed to execute cp via adb shell and terminal emulator. I can tell you that it is symlinked properly ever since i put in the fix. my updater script now does the same thing as linkfixer, just symlinks everything in xbin folder.. Why it doesn't work for you i don't know.

You're not alone, I got the same problem
I wonder why K. doesn't state about this but I think this is a known problem.
Plus, WiFi doesn't activate by himself recognizing known hot spot

How did you guys install the youtube app?

I tried downloading it with the Update Me app and it gets downloaded to data/app but it's not showing up in my launcher.

I also tried moving it to system/app but it still didn't show up in the launcher. Also, opening the apk and selecting install doesn't work either.

You did reboot your phone, right?

i'm on 3.6 with semaphore 1.1.1

actually the wifi gets disconnected when the phone goes in standby/to save battery - which is fine, but fails to reconnect when the phone is on again

might be a conflict between semaphore and the ns tools ??

i'm not ready to reinstall everything :)

PS i've rebooted the phone a few times and now it seems to work again!
great! :)

bootloops

for those who have boot issues after flashing:

THE SOLUTION IS HAIMDALL:
get it here : http://www.glassechidna.com.au/products/heimdall/

1.get your favorite kernel, the zip archive. Open it and extract boot.img

2. Install Heimdall.

3. Start your Galaxy in Download Mode

4. Run zadig.exe and install the correct drivers.

5. Put boot.img in Heimdall file.

6. Open cmd.exe, go to c:\heimdall (or where you put it)

type :

heimdall flash --kernel boot.img

This will overcome the bootloops and you will NOT loose any information on the phone, such as apps etc.

Hope it is useful!

Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

    Slim ICS v2.7 - Stable
    IMPORTANT NOTE: :
Starting with 2.7 I am forming a common base for galaxy variants, so every user needs to flash the Slim_ICS_Base_2.7 and their device essentials, so a I9000 user has to flash the Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials as well, if you don't your system won't boot. I am doing this so i can make it easier on my side and allow users of vibrant and captivate to become Slim.

    • Smaller but common base for galaxy S variant phones
    • Modded Market where paid apps work ( if it doesn't, try this, manually push it in system/app, set permissions, reboot)
    • Modem provided in Essentials - it will leave your modem alone if there is one already.
    • Introducing ASS ( Advanced Slim Settings) - thanks to Roman and AOKP team
      • Modify Notification Widgets

      • Change LCD density
      • Allow 180 degree rotation
      • Custom Carrier Label

    Slim_ICS_2.7_I9000_Essentials

    Slim_ICS_2.7_Captivate_Essentials

Slim_ICS_2.7_Vibrant_Essentials - Wifi Toggle Fix inbuilt, no need to flash separately

    Slim_ICS_2.7_Mirror

WIFI -TOGGLE FIX PATCH, flash after base + essentials only needed if WIFI toggles like hell.

    Market Workaround at 182 DPI:

    • Use this Vending.apk if the inbuilt one doesn't allow paid apps.

      or
    • Change to 240 dpi, reboot, clear market cache, and verify that all apps are seen ( if you can't see any at 182 dpi), then change it to 182 dpi and don't clear cache. All apps will show up until you clear cache next time.
      or
    • Buy LCD Density Modder Pro. Easily allows to change DPI and downloads a modded multi dpi marketplace.
