[Q] Is my xperia play dead?

The error is because of unlocked bootloader u can restore ur phone with flashtools

Unable to root
now i restored my phone to it's stock launcher it won't allow itself to be rooted
I've unlocked the bootloader via flashtool however root won't work.
this is the part where it stuffs up.
Running part1 of rootexploit, please wait
waiting for device. After 60 seconds, stop waiting will be forced.
Forced stop waiting.
ERROR: The part1 exploit did not work
Cleaning files.

Maybe it is the firmware problem for rooting ur phone flash .42 or .58(enhanced) u can root them with flashtools
