They have a patent on voice search though according to the foss patents blog. This means they can sue companies implementing that idea and if I recall correctly is being used in an apple vs htc case along with apples text completion patent.

The problem with that idea is that voice search and voice control in Android PREDATES Siri and any use of it that @pple has had. Which means that any patent they were granted was probably illegal in the first place. as a number of their "patents" have been shown to be.
Apparently, the US Patent Office is not really doing due dilligence in searching for these things and they are granting patents for things that are NOT really first or even unique.
