H20 Hydra 1.1.2

I copied the vtalk.apk to /system/app, setted all permission and reboted, but I always got network error...

I'm on H20 Hydra 1.1.2

I got a network error for ics Resurrection remix 1.9
Is it because of the server is down at the moment or it is a bug/error

I'm finding the voice recognition excellent, when the server works.

The app is far far more powerful than siri as due to the very nature of android, integration with other apps is straightforward, so it can open any app u have, enable and disable wifi, bluetooth, driving mode, hot spot, sets alarms, send texts, emails.

OK, some of the responses aren't great but apple have been modifying siri results to make it appear smarter when actually do useful things is sorely lacking.

Since this app is designed only for the sgs3, there are issues with FCs, possibly more so with 4.0.3 ics as nexus 4.0.4 users seem to be having good success.

I'm still having network error........

Please don't compare S voice and Siri so fast
It's just a leak (=beta version) running on a non-native device
You'll can compare ONLY when the S III will be out ;-)

For everyone getting "Network Error. Please Try Again".
I did some packet sniffing on my Galaxy Nexus and the results are:

S Voice is definitely hosted at Vlingo servers IP address 63.116.58.58. Same IP address is used when I start using Vlingo.

IP address: 63.116.58.58
IP country code: US
IP address country: United States
ISP of this IP: Verizon Business
Organization: VLINGO

Second thing is that, at the moment we start using S Voice we are sending all the following info to them:

X-vlclient: DeviceMake=samsung; DeviceOSName=Android; DeviceModel=Galaxy Nexus; DeviceOS=4.0.4; Language=en-US; ConnectionType=DirectTCP; Carrier=[my Carrier]; CarrierCountry=[my Country]; DeviceID=[my IMEI]; AudioDevice=Android\r\n

...looks easy to them to deny the requests from the phones other than Galaxy SIII ! and they are doing this obviously, look at the response:

If its passing the information to the same servers, what is it that differentiates the SVoice request from the Vlingo request?

Has anyone tried using the build.prop from the SGS3 on their GNex?

I tried hardcoding DeviceModel to GT-9300 in VLServiceUtil.smali but failed recompiling afterwards. For some reason it can't find lots of ressources despite them being there :-(

1.Not using SGS3
2.Doesn't fully work on other devices
3.Many times FC's on other devices
4.Its first leaked beta
5.Its using google speech to text on our phones(don't know what SGS3 uses for speech to text)
6.I know siri will be better but who cares??????????Talking to phone in public and look like an idiot.

@everyone yes i have the same error in connection, looks like samsung has taken it down for other devices but we need someone with sgs3 to confirm if its working on his device now and not working for us

My phone is nexus S and I just modded the build.prop model to SGS 3 (GT 9300)..

the network error disappears..
I am now able to use the app, but it always FC after S-voice responds to my voice query.

App does not install

I cannot install the apk.
I have an wiped non-rooted S2.
I get:
Failure: INSTALL_FAILED_CONFLICTING_PROVIDER

Any thoughts?

You have to remove Vlingo first
