Nice setup! What are those toggles on the far right? You didn't specify on MCS.

This topic gets me quite frustrated. I've posted three styles already but nobody hasn't even bothered criticizing them or even commenting on them.
And then some guy gets 10 likes from adding couple of icons to an alright bacground. I understand that people like simple and I'm not hunting likes like Pokémon cards. I know I'm being a bit childish here, sorry.

I'd appreciate if you'd press thanks button if I helped you ^_^
I know exactly how you feel! Let me see if I can help out here. Yes, my "Antidote" screens are absurdly simple. Took me like 6 minutes to come up with them. Another 6 to decide to put them on top of a blurred version of the green mess I posted last week as a presentation. Big deal, right? Well, I am a regular here. And my usual work (which you can see if you click the DA logo on my signature) is quite the opposite of this last one. So people are commenting on that, and really, not that many. Even fewer folks had anything to say about the screens that took me days to work on last time.
Goldieking is right, this thread moves FAST. I mean, if you spend the next three days on some theraputic retreat in the mountains discussing your feelings or your love of cheese or whatever, you'll be about 50 pages behind. 500 posts, no joke. What I've found is that the people with the most unique ways of setting up their phones get noticed, and therefore, critiqued. And some folks have a particular style that is popular (not me) and get tons of comments. Some folks put together a nice looking screen, spending quality time on its fabrication, but then post some tiny thumbnail, or worse, a thumbnail that opens up to reveal...a giant thumbnail. Easily missed in a thread that moves so quickly.
When I first started, no one said BOO about my work. And I was all, "Well, I had better do something about THIS crap!" And I started working out my creativity. (insert musical montage of my creativity working out in the gym, running up and down the steps of the Capital, drinking raw eggs, secretly watching porn in the basement) When I first started doing this, I thought my screens were the bomb. But no one would confirm it. I thought they were all blind. I mean, just LOOK at the beauty of these!! How daaaaare they.
I worked long and hard on this, thought it was a masterpiece. No feedback. Today, I look at it as a pretty unremarkable mess, regardless of the amount of work I put in on it. I knew then I'd have to step it up to get noticed. An Attention Whore Ignored was nothing I was interested in being. Today, I think I'm pretty good at this thing we do, and get some positive feedback when I share my work. We don't have "Likes" here, but I surely appreciate those that take a moment to tell me I did a good job, and "thank" them accordingly, making some friends in the process.
Not everyone can or will give feedback. 50 people could like a guy's (or girl's) layout and say so, but if I think it looks anything like an iPhone, I won't say a thing. I'll just sit here and scratch my head. But that's just me and my taste. Art is subjective. Mediocre and bad art is skimmed. Outstanding art is recognized. It's the way of things I think. I have to go to work now so I can't go digging for some of your entries to look at (because you didn't include a link to any of them here) and possibly comment on right now, but I will this weekend.
In the meantime, keep practicing, get wild, have fun, stand out, and be recognized! *thunder/lightning*
