what programs are yall using to undervolt? just setcpu? or can lulzactive do it? or best program to undervolt? trying to save battery
I'm using System Tuner to set voltage, set clock speed, and adjust speed of sdcard. Best program to fully take control of a lot of functions.
I'm running R4, using ondemand, have both cpu's enabled 192-1836, sdcard @ 2mb, and used the recommended settings for SysCtl in System Tuner. Was undervolting by 25, but set it back to defaults.
Was a lil sluggish on R2, but this thing flies on R4. May set the voltage back and run further tests but this morning got 3900 out of Quadrant.

Hey which scheduler are you guys running? Is there one that gives reads more priority than writes?

I was using noop, but now I'm using sio and i have no idea which is better, you can find stuff on Google comparing them though

Where do you change sdcard to 2mb?

I'm running smartassv2, 1.83, - 25 across the board except 3 highest, both cpu's

You change the sdcard in system tuner.
I'm now running my voltage at -50, so far feels fine, no noticeable speed diff.
And using ondemand as my governor.

So I've come to the conclusion that smartassv2 isn't very smart at all. All it does is peg out at top chosen OC, talk about draining the battery! Who ever said that it's the best one is smoking!
So I switched he'd to ondemand and she's a flowin like she should, and running a lot cooler to I might add

Smartassv2 ramps up a lot more than it needs to, is personally run hotplug or ondemand if i were you

I like smartassv2 because when I'm using the phone I get quick feedback. When I'm not, it sleeps like a stone. Last night it dropped only two percent in 8 hours (data off). I'm only OC to 1.62. If you are going to oc you might as well use the speed. Imho

I'm using System Tuner, but I can't make the OC stick...it reverts back to default. What are you doing to keep it OC....

make sure you're on R4, I was having probs with R2 upon reboot keeping it's settings, was sometime-ish. It would boot, keep the settings, I put the phone down, a while later check it and would show CPU1 offline.
I installed R3 and it would crash my cell upon booting. This R4 runs like a champ. Really don't see what needs to improve but I'm not a developer to see the nucks and crannies of what's going on in the background.
I'm on R4 and Boot settings -> Re apply CPU settings - On boot completed, but it still does not stick using I717UCLF6

Kernel Samepage Merging. In layman's terms it combines duplicate chunks of memory freeing up space for even more stuff to be loaded in RAM. To try it out, open a terminal and run:After some time the kernel will check memory pages that have been marked as merge-able and do it's thing. See /sys/kernel/mm/ksm/pages_* files for stats.Code:echo 1 > /sys/kernel/mm/ksm/run
Voltage control is not (currently) in CM9. I will be "working on it soon"(tm), in the meantime try one of these 3rd party apps: Antutu CPU Master, SetCPU
This necessary for stock, and possibly some AOSP roms. I will be including a fixed liblights in the next update.
To take advantage of BLN, you'll need to install an app (unless you're on my CM9, it's built-in - Settings->Advanced->Sensors).

Sounds like FJ_mod is not reading the settings directly from the kernel, but instead always using values internal to FJ_mod which end up blowing away your settings on wakeup
. I'm sure he will update FJ_mod soon to fix the issue.

This is a kernel update only. You will need a 3rd party app to manage the settings and make sure it has the option to "apply settings on reboot".12

I will personally look into every problem if I can. I hope everyone here can see the benefits (both to you and me) of having a dedicated issue tracker where anyone can collaborate and get definitive status updates.
Developing, collaborating, debugging, building, and distributing all while sifting through hundreds (or thousands in the case of the CM9 kang) of posts does not scale Ultimately it makes for a shoddy software product, terrible customer (ie. you) experience, and burnt out developers.
How many times have you seen a thread with repost after repost after repost? (the cm9 kang thread was stupid long) :crying:
On a personal note. I hope nobody takes this as me saying XDA sucks, because it just doesn't - but there are better tools for the job. Under normal circumstances I could keep doing the XDA distribution / support thing, but right now I am going through some serious legal battles. Which is probably why I reacted so rashly to the legalistic demands from the moderator.
