Very annoying though.....Id like to use a custom ROM.

I haven't looked into dual booting though. I wonder if that would. I have no idea how dual booting works though hahaha

for everyone annoying with notification "SWIPE OVER SHORTCUT TO OPEN APP" use root explorer or ES File Explorer Go to /system/app delete or move HelpHub.apk untick show help text at lockscreen options and reboot.

I've been trying for the last hour to get dual booting to work but no luck. Anyone know how to configure this. On the E210S

Sorry, in advance, as I'm sure this has been asked before, but I'm finding some conflicting information. Are we limited to roms for our specific model (SHV-E210 S/K/L etc.), or are we able to use roms from the I9300 and i9305 series?

Some threads have seemed to indicate mods that will work with either, but I was unsure if roms would too. Sorry for the noobish question, and thanks in advance for your help.

It's difficult for the LTE versions.
With the M440S (3G) it is much simpler.

In short, you should only be using ROMs that are for our specific phones. That being said, some people have ported other ROMs from the i9300 series and such. There are also Kernels that allow you to use different version of ROMs, but like you said, it is all very confusing.

There are too many things that can go wrong with the LTE versions, since our phones have different specs.
To be safe, I would recommend just using your phone specific ROMs. As for mods, some mods do work for stock ROMs......But again, it is hit or miss.

The ROM that I am using now, allows me to use themed mods from different versions......

The best rom I ever tried, just disappointing that the installation is done by Aroma in Chinese language i think, I did not understand anything

Thanks for the info, I greatly appreciate it. Not a lot of custom roms out there for us, in that case (Ochies is about all I've seen for my phone). Can you recommend any roms (preferably relatively AOSP-ish)?

No!!! Unless you took a i9300 rom and took the modem and pda out of it... but... what's the point??

My advice for you is:

Root your device (install CWM on it to have te super user access)
Install the app called "root uninstaller" on play store
Uninstall all apps that you want...

Or try to find a custom rom for your device... the chineses does a lot of roms for SHV series. ..

Go to the OP and click on your phone version.
Everything that you need/want is posted there. Links to stock/custom ROMs and Kernels.

It is the best ROM you have ever tried, but it is all in Chinese and you can't understand anything? hahahhaha
So, why is it the best ROM?

There are plenty of other ROMs that we can understand and are amazing......

Any under voltage? Just want to know some tweaks that people have found to be safe, effective and save some battery.

I've found another kernel based from siyah kernel and dual boot is working.
but whenever what rom i install on 2nd room is always use siyah kernel.
and right now im experiment with init.d i'll be report later
