Rooting not working on V2 rom

I rooted my phone with Bin4ry's rooting tool and i waited till the message "have fun"! to prompt up, but when i run 'Root Checker' it still show that the phone is not rooted. What could be the problem? please help

Which ROM you using? For JB b4nary won't work ...

Good, now we have more testers for Kernel.

@Varun is on leave for his exams and @Suhas has done some testing which might help in a fester results.

Appreciate your efforts in building a Kernel :victory:

3.now flash your phone with stock v2 rom via s.p flash tool
4.root your v2 rom and install cwm .now go to recovery.via cwm.now clear data and cache and in advance option clear dalvik cache and "do not clear data partition" ($important step$). go to backup and restore and select restore option go to d file directory(place in the root of external SD card) where u have placed .click restore that's it ....you have done
5.after booting install titanium backup and copy your backup files to titanium backup folder in SD card (internal/external) in my case internal .now restart your phone
6.after restarting u can restore all your files via titanium backup
7.hurray now u have v1 rom vividness and v2 rom storage in stock v1 rom
8.importantly u never have to go to v2 rom to flash new roms because u already have data partition like v2 rom.u can directly flash via cwm from v1 rom.
Note: I have done this in my own mobile which I have succeeded and do at your own risk

LOL why dont you just simply paste DSp_BL & uboot_s9080.bin File from V1 and replace these files in V2 Stock and Flash it
and for Apps backup you can take Titanium backup

Root again this time just Plug you Device with USB Debugging uncheck.
start Bin4ry root tool connect your device- press 1 then It
will ask you to Click USB Debugging mode- just check USB Debugging

Nothing happened. :( I wiped batterystats.bin after charging to 100% but in vain. I restarted at 66% now its 80% :confused:

Try battery calibration app from play store... charge up to 100% and then calibrate your battery without unplugging of ur charger after calibration.... unplug ur charger at least this shud work :cool:

Hi devs and others!

can any one please suggest me hear phones for our phone with mic working... I'm thinking about ordering today or tomorrow, so i need your valuable suggestions. please provide me link to the site where i can order or else please provide me the model so that i will search on it... my budget is from Rs.0 to Rs.1500 Thank you, as i am a micromax user, i expect value for money :) ...

Felt like it would be helpful if we have a separate thread for these kind of queries...

RAM is hardware specific and it cannot be altered....By using Custom Kernel we can use RAM more efficiently by organizing RAM usage for various apps...or tasks running I in background...:)

Got it bro.....and I need to backup my audio drivers need to know which are audio drivers in our mobile ...I want to install beats audio ...does any one tried to install? If s plz provided reviews..... :rolleyes::):cool:

i suggest u to use acid sound mod with Noozoxide u will find sound better than stock xperia mini pro

If I try to check for updates in settings ...it always shows network connection problem.. so we can't have OTA update.. can it be fixed..

Better u go for Nokia stereo Bluetooth that's so good for this phone here I am using that only.

Thanks for your reply brother, as i don't like to use many wireless devices around me, so would you please any other hear phones with curved jack as on our micromax hearphone... Again thanks for your suggestion...

    Hola Guys!
    Guides for Micromax A110:
    Important: If the steps given in the guide sound a bit strange (I bet they are, for newbies), click the Title to get to a full explained guide. Experienced folks will have no problems the steps given here itself. :)

    Posting too many links to one's blog is considered unethical. So, I decided to create an index of all the guides for Canvas 2 on Droidiser.
    • Root and install Jelly Bean on Micromax A110: Easier Method (Thanks Paplu3)
      • Download this file and copy it to your sd card.
      • Wipe Data/Factory reset and go to Advanced and wipe dalvik cache.
      • Boot into clockworkmod and flash the file by going to Install zip from sdcard.
      • Reboot.
    • How to Update Micromax A110 to Cynus T2's Jelly Bean
      • Download Cynus T2 JB ROM and transfer to your sd cared.
      • If you don't have stock recovery on your mobile, download this and flash it via MobileUncle MTK Tools.
      • Boot into your recovery and select Apply update from sdcard.
      • Reboot.
      • Flash Modem.img. To do this, go to /system/etc/firmware and paste this file. Change permissions to rw-r--r-- and reboot.
    • After updating to Jelly Bean, how to install CWM recovery and ROOT it
      • Download cwm recovery image. Renmae this file to recovery.img, if it isn't already named so.
      • In Flash Tools, click Scatter-loading button and locate the file named MT6577_Android_scatter_emmc.txt
      • Uncheck all options except recovery.
      • Remove battery from your phone and connect it to pc. Hit download button in Flash tool.
      • When completed, remove your phone and reboot. Copy the SU binaries to your sd card.
      • Flash via CWM recovery.
    • Improve Camera Quality on JB
    • List of Custom ROMs for Micromax A110 based on Jelly Bean
      • This is a list of some good custom roms for the A110.
    • Should you buy a smartphone from a local brand like Micromax A110
      • My views on whether one should buy from local brands like Micromax, Karbonn, Spice etc. Targeted on those who are looking to buy adevice in the near future.
    • Flash Cynus T2's ICS rom On A110
      • Download Cynus T2 ICS ROM and copy to your sd card.
      • Flash stock recovery if you have clockworkmod recovery.
      • Reboot into recovery and flash the rom.
    • Update Micromax A110 to stock rom v2
    • GPS fix for Micromax A110 (ICS)
      • Copy gps.conf file to /system/etc/ on your device and overwrite the old file.
    • Swap External and Internal sdcard
    • Flash Clockworkmod recovery on A110 (on ics)
    • Root Micromax A110 (on ics)
      • Download bin4ry's rooting tool.
      • Extract it, connect your phone and run RunMe.bat file.
      • Follow instructions as stated.
    • Install drivers for Micromax A110 (on ics)
      • Download pdanet.
      • Connect your mobile when it asks.
    • Booting in to clockworkmod Recovery:
      • Press Power + Volume Up + Volume Down when your A110 is switched off.

    Drivers: these are the official drivers provided by Micromax.
    Here are some specs:

    • 5 Inch IPS capacitive screen with 480x854 resolution, 16.8 million colors, ~196 ppi density and 0.1296 mm dot pitch (Don't know what dot pitch means), 5 point multitouch
    • 1 GHz Dual Core processor, Mediatek MT6577 chipset*

    • Android v4.0.4, Dual SIM
    • Bluetooth v3.0
    • 2000 mAH battery which provides upto 5 hours of talktime and 180 hours of standby*

    After lots of hard work and studies of the chipset I have successfully overclocked the CPU to 1.2Ghz along with tons of other improvements
    According to my tester sheshuvadrevu, the performance has reached to high level and has marginally reached to that of Jellybean and this will be amazing when the kernel will be JB compatible.
    Checkout the screenshots attached.

    Secondly, I am postponing the release to 5 March 2013 becasue there is lots to come in the first release and will be super-power packed!
    I am going to start with Jellybean compatibility tomorrow so as to convert the upcoming kernel to a cross-compatible common kernel ;)

    I know after seeing this post many of you are going to be impatient especially after checking screenshots :p but to get best of the best you need patience :D

    The timespan required is enough to tell you all that something unexpected and exciting is stuffed in, maybe this will bring a revolution in custom ROM development for this device ;)
