There's a way to speedup the light sensor reaction? Because sometimes when I take out my phone from the bag and I'm out under direct sunlight it take too much time to increase the display brightness. 10 or more seconds. I've already try to use custom value under settings but it's the same.
Thanks

Hi all,
i've experienced the same issue too, i know it's a nightly build, but if it will be a way (maybe changing some settings?) to improve it's behavior i will be glad to know it :)

this will absolutly not speed up sensor!
Its a filter seetting not a sensor seeting.

It's right :( in my device nothing happened changing window lenght. Mine take always 8~10 sec to uppering dim light.

Hi, I noticed a strong battery drain resulting from the stock com.android.email app, as it is producing crazy amounts of wakeups.

After a short search on google I found this:
http://xdaforums.com/showthread.php?t=1253583,
http://androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus/529491-awake-while-sleeping.html
and this http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=9307,

which basically says the bug has been present in Android 2.3.x, got fixed there and reintroduced in Android 4.0...

So the question is, could this get fixed in cm9? I'm not a developer of any sort, so I don't know how to track down a problem like this by myself...

Thanks for an absolutely great ROM so far cm9 team! Keep up the awesome work! :)

Better Battery Stats screenshot is attached

+1 I have the same issues. about 1500 wakes in 7 hours. Battery at 56%
didn't use my phone much today.

Let ics be as it is.. delete e mail and use gmail

I'm actually on build 0422, all stock (kernel and whatever...).
I have automatic backlighting, made alot of calls, almost always on gtalk with thousands of messages (in and out), data always on (either wifi or 3g when on the street; data off at night-time), some websurfing, some play store application updates, sms...
right now my battery stats says 2days 0hours 27minutes and 13seconds (I can provide a screen if needed) and I have still 24% of juice remaining...
Very pleased with this kind of battery life, cm9 ROCKS!

example

1. via terminal emulator

echo "yourvaluehere" > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/gpu_clock_control

2. via script in init.d with 755 permissions

#!/system/bin/sh
echo "yourvaluehere" > /sys/devices/virtual/misc/gpu_clock_control

I tried via terminal but it doesn't work. I want 100 166 267 as gpu clock speeds.
Edit:nvm it worked. Now I am trying to get the script done :). Nightly 25 not laggy anymore yeahh :)

In my working day I have no time to use the display all that much, I suppose this' not a competition for the longest screen time in a working day.
I'm just stating that for my lifestyle this stats are way more satisfying than what a stock ICS ROM gave me and that I'm happy with the work of this team.
I repeat: this' not a race, otherwise I call myself out as I don't need to race at all.
Cheers

P.S:
Stock battery not 2000mah

Made new file with these lines (no file extension), put it in init.d folder and set permissions to 755.
Done and be happy. But don't complain about battery life ;D. I am trying with different speeds, maybe 85 is good for first step.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.0 (ICS), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

If you're a bloody noob and getting confused by following simple instructions, go down and read about using the noob-proof ODIN method.

First time installing CyanogenMod 9 to your Galaxy S II, or coming from another ROM:
    - READ FAQs: http://teamhacksung.org/wiki/index.php/Experimental:GT-I9100:Frequently_Asked_Questions

Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9:

    - Open Odin
    - Choose cm-9-XXXXXXXX-ODIN-galaxys2.tar.md5 as PDA
    - Boot your phone into download mode
    - Connect your device via usb to your computer
    - Wait till Odin has fully recognized your phone
    - Hit the start button and wait till the flash process is finished
    - Device boots automatically into recovery
    - Flash GApps
    - Reboot into CM9
    - Follow above steps to update CM9 to lastest available version (Upgrading from earlier version of CyanogenMod 9)

It's done when it's done. Don't expect a release withing the next days. If it takes weeks, then it takes weeks.

I'll focus on I9100 development because it's the device with the most users.
It will take us a lot of time to integrate all patches/hacks needed for samsung devices.

Don't bug us or ask for etas, just be patient and let us work.
That's the best what you can do.
