How do I fix "App not installed" / "Incompatible update"?

Hey,

I'm trying to update my bubbleupnp app but for some reason it doesn't allow me even though others say it works fine...

I have tried removing the app from the /data/apps/ directory and even tried removing all of the folders as far as I can find for data associated with the app, I have even cleared cache and davlik cache but nothing has worked.

If I install from play store I get the following:

If I try and install from the apk file I get the following:

Anyone know how I can fix this? Please help

I think the app is a system app.. First Remove the app using with file explorer having root permissions..

Then install apk.. App not installed error will go..

I've already done that, still doesn't work also it's not a system app.

The problem of app not being installed comes when there is any conflicting app of same signature is there..

Ok then first clear data of the app from setting app- wipe data. then uninstall it..

Restart your phone then try to install the app..

I can't use the clear data option because it's not installed, it doesn't show installed anywhere and I can't find any file relating to bubbleupnp in any of the folders

Do you have sufficient space in your phone..

Try installing older version of app..

Remove the previous one then instll and clear data before uninstalling..

I have several gb of space left and can install other apps just fine.

I don't know how to get an older version of the app

Have you tried hard resetting the phone?
and you can get older version from google. Search it!

Uninstall playstore update and try to download see if that works

you can backup almost anything using titanium backup. And for sms, contacts, call logs i will recommend super backup.
so there will be no much difference after restoring all backups.

I've used titanium backup before and i hated how it never restored accounts correctly.

Mate play store update means..

Go in setting-> apps -> Playstore -> Uninstall updates.

Restart your phone then install your app from playstore..

Worked perfectly without the restart part, but how would I get back to the latest play store?

same problem

I'm facing same problem in whatsapp and perfect 365 I also reset my phone but problem exists. Deleting cache data etc. But not working.
Any suggestion plz?

Or just shut down, remove and reinsert your battery. Make sure to uninstall any apps you don't use to free up space, also uninstall previous versions of the same app currently installed on your device. Double check the apk files you download and be sure they were completely copied or downloaded.
