To anyone that has been dropped from Sprint because of too much Roaming data (like let out of your contract)
Do you know if your ESN's are still good? I'm considering either getting forced out and selling my 2 NS4G's, then use that $ to buy new phones on Verizon or just converting my NS4G's to Boost. Wanting to do this mainly because 2 phones are costing us $160 a month and that's ri-god-damn-diculous, So Boost is the likely option but it would be nice to know if the ESN's will be good in case I do want to sell them.
If I was to get dropped by sprint. Would I loose my number or could I keep my number and move to a new company

wasnt trying to be an ass, im coming from the E3D and alot people used QPST and not 775
Would this work for me on my nexus s 3g in germany on t-mobile? Or is it US only?
sent while eating an ice cream sandwich in the matr1x
I flash roms therefore i am!
When I do this, I don't see the R on the signal bars but when I make a phone call verizon says that when roaming I need to dial the area code first. Does that mean that it worked? Woul i get charged for voice roaming?

Does anyone know of a free alternative to Roam Control if one would like to use the hybrid PRL option?

I think CM7 had the option to "roam only" built into it

1. Get your MSL number. Do this by getting an app from the market called terminal emulator. type in:
su (hit enter)
getprop ril.MSL (caps sensitive, then hit enter)
your MSL will be there. It will be a 6 digit code. Write this down for later!
You can also call Sprint and if you ask nicely they may give it to you!
2. Install drivers for your device on your computer. Look up a Youtube tutorial on how to do this. It was the hardest part for me.
3. Download the file "00001.prl" and QPST. Links to both are below. On your computer, extract the QPST file, open it up, and double click on setup. Go through the installation process.
4. Go back to the phone and open up the dialer. Enter this: *#*#8778#*#*
5. On the menue that pops up there will be a secton labeled "USB". Change it from PDA to "Modem"
6. Back to the computer. Hit the start menu and open up device manager. Double click on "ports" and you should see your devide there. at the end it will look like this: (COM#). Write down the number at the end of the COM.
7. Hit the start and search for QPST and open it. At the bottom corner click on new device, and when it asks for the port enter COM# (using the number you found in the last step), and hit ok.
8. Now go to "start clients" and hit "SERVICE PROGRAMMING". It will ask what port you will be modifying, just click your device and hit ok.
9. there will be these tabs with CDMA, CDMA-2, ESN, etc. Click on the one that said "Roam". In the lower box hit browse, and find the 00001.prl file. hit ok.
10. Finally, hit "write to phone". The phone should reboot, and you're done!
11. I forgot to add this in the video. Once it boots up, go back to the dialer and enter the *#*#8778#*#* code again. Change it back from modem to PDA and you are done!
Ok so I did it. I flashed oooo1.prl. ok in the about phone section in settings is it supposes to say roaming? Or no?

Interesting.
2mbps / 8 (8 bits in a byte) = 250KB/s
1.3mbps / 8 (8 bits in a byte) = 160KB/s.
Ok ok last question, I hope. Does this work for both voice and data?
Someone confirm that this works?
