I have the FC24 modem and have very good reception - especially 4G. But I've noticed that it very much depends on your actual phone and location too. Also make sure you update your PRL AND Profile. After one modem flash I didn't do that and my network kept disconnecting. Try a few and find what actually works best for you.

You can use titanium backup but the best way I have found to do it is before flashing the new rom go to recovery and go to backup and restore then backup. Then after flashing the new rom go into recovery go to backup and restore advanced restore and then choose the latest backup then restore data.

Care to elaborate on these "tools". I just flashed over 4.0 and everything seems ok except the wake lag.

Titanium Backup or another root backup of choice. Putting any files on your external sd card that you may need. I have profiles for setcpu and other programs saved so all I have to do is just update it when I restore the app after a flash.

Not saying that you HAVE to do a full wipe. I just always do for a clean start and zero headaches later. You can always do Calk's modified no data wipe too.

Is what I'm using. Seems to run pretty damn smooth ( not that it wasn't smooth from the get go)

    FIX - Remove your google account in settings>accounts and syncing, restart phone, add Google account again and go back into Playstore and download.

    How do I overclock with the stock kernel?
    Download "Tegrak" from the market, amazing app.

    Why is my battery life not as good as it could be after flashing?
    You just flashed it will get a lot better, go calibrate your battery if your not satisfied :p.

    Do I have to wipe fully if I am coming from a previous version of Blazer?
    No, Wiping dalvik, and cache should be sufficient. If you get Force Closes wipe fully.

    Can I flash a different kernel?
    Yes, most Epic Touch 4G Kernels should work.
