Thanks for responding. Can you give me a bit of description on what I should do?
How do I adb backup and how do I restore the data after unlocking?
Thanks!

Try this, reboot back into the bootloader, then using the volume buttons select the Recovery option and select with Power. That will take you to a screen with a red triangle.
In there, hold Power and press Volume Up, you're now in the stock recovery. Then select Wipe Data/Factory and select it. Reboot and it should be ok now.
Good luck.
I was in the same situation as the guy you were helping and this worked. Thanks a bunch man!!!!
I'm in the same situation, bootloop, but cannot figure out how to get to the stock recovery to do the factory reset. If I hold power and vol. up from the exclamation point over the android guy screen, the device reboots really quick and says "downloading do not turn target off". What am I missing? Thanks a ton for the help
I am in the same boat as this guy. Technically though I believe that is volume down (with power button on top left it's the left volume button, not right). If I do volume up (the right button in this orientation) it just reboots normal and tries to load.
I left it sit at the "downloading do not turn target off" for about 10 minutes and still nothing. Anyone know what we are missing?

Update: You have to tap the power button and volume up, not hold it. Took me 3-4 clicks but eventually I timed it just right. Must tap both at the exact same time and it'll bring up a blue/black menu. Hope this helps!

Hi, I'm in the N10 bootloop. I've followed the instructions and am able to get the red triangle state, but no amount of power and vol-up button clicking/tapping ever gets me to the described blue/black menu. The N10 eventually goes back into the boot loop. If I tap the buttons as instructed, do I have to wait for some period of time before the factory wipe menu comes up? Or should the menu appear immediately? Thanks...
Here is the error. You have to hold down the power button continuously and then you hit volume plus. Then you get to the "Stock-Recovery"
It isn't needed, if the sdk folder is in the PATH it will work normally
hope people are now using the nexus toolkit
way easier than all of this

How much time take the reboot of the nexus 10? I'm waiting about an hour and I'm a little afraid of...
I can go to the fastboot menu, and when I choose Recovery and press power it takes me to a screen with an android with a red triangle. There I press power and volume up simultaneously and keep it pressed, the screen turns off and the nexus 10 vibrates
Any idea if this sends anything to the google servers? I know when unlocking the T700 it sends the serial to ASUS to void the warranty. Not sure if this was the case with any nexus device or not (also I realize this isnt out yet). Just figured i'd ask if you had any past experience with the N7 or prior nexus device
Hey,
I'm from the Nook Color Community. There is a SD slot for Nook Color and none for this. The unlock process seems to much more complicated. Do we lose all the /data when we unlock the Bootloader?
Also, can we backup before unlocking?
