Hi kasper. Thank a lot for your christmas time update.
Tried qs personalisation. Works well. (Remove / place again , exchange tiles)
Any way to add new tile (not already present) or still not implemented? (Just to know if I missed an adjustment)

Adding new tiles will come later.

OK. No PB.

One issue on my side: after dirty flash, Mackay settings have disappeared from apps.

I've somehow lost the function, that I could switch display on again after it' s getting dark without using the home button (touchwake).
It's only me?

I'm not suggesting anything. I'm just reporting my experience, that's all.

Hi Kasper, is there any chance to implement themes in future update?

@kasper_h, is there any way I can change the enter key function under the sms app?

In SMS app settings you can change the enter key to emoticons(extra settings/soft keyboard) if I understand well your question.

not that change. I want a new line when I it enter, not to send the sms, there's already a button for that. My person computer interaction teacher flipped when I did something similar... :p

This proposal will give you 'enter key' instead of emoticon, which goes to new line when hit.
As said before go to settings from SMS app and tool st option item 'soft keyboard'

try it and you will see that it does not add a new line but it in fact sends the sms...
Perhaps its only a missunderstanding?! With the change in settings to: "show the enter key", seen in screenshot, it works for me and enters a new line and did not sent the SMS....

i know what it does. it's the first thing I do when I open the sms app after a flash but this time(and in the 21 build @ least) it sends the sms instead of adding a new line.

ps: went to try the aosp keyboard and it adds a new line so it seems that is something to do with the swiftkey + omni combo. in cm11 it adds a new line but in omni it sends the sms. that is weird---

Mackay settings are missing after dirty flash. Otherwise working good. Doest this rom support quick settings in notifications panel?

I have been sharing my CM7/CM9/CM10/CM10.1/CM10.2/CM11-based builds for several devices. MackayROM was first based on CyanogenMod sources, but I decided to move over to Omni as base for my ROM.

About Omni: Omni is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 4.4 (KitKat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

If you run into errors, I may not be able to solve it!

If you know a solution to a problem, either upload it yourself to Gerrit Code Review or contact me through pm.

The ROM is based on Omni sources with the following changes:
    -Mackay Kernel:
-Set of cherries picked from gerrit (differing by the day)
-Some additional patches I did myself to the source code

Feature request are OK, but remember:
    1. I try to stay close to stock
    2. I will not include additional apps, unless they can be build from source
    3. The time I spend on features depends on how much I like them myself

Although it is possible to enable ART, this is not advisable:
-Takes long to convert from Dalvik to ART on first boot
    -Needs more RAM
    -Can cause soft reboots
But off course, YMMV -> light users may have better luck

    Changelog of 27-Feb-2014
-Omni codebase of 26-Feb (e.g. new bootanimation :))
    -QS Ribbon is gone

-Custom kernels can be used only if specific for OmniROM => currently none
